Name: Nordal

Element: Gravity

Height: Just over six feet.

Appearance: Wears a tan cloak with a hood(shaped like this: http://www.nudimensions.com/spiritcraft/cloak.jpg), under which he had a dull white shirt, and brown pants, tucked into black boots that come nearly up to his knees. He also has leather fingerless gloves. His hair is a blue, dark enough to be mistaken for black at a distance, or with only a glance. His skin is mostly transparent, under which a mixture of orange and black energy always appear to be billowing around in clouds. This effect is only noticeable if there is light showing from the other side, so if his hood is up you won't be able to see it in his face.

Weapons: Dual Katanas and a Longbow(hidden). The Katanas are in the traditional X on Nordal's back(think Deadpool, or less specifically, pretty much any picture of a ninja). The longbow is in a specially designed container. A thick staff was made, cut in half, hollowed out, then reconnected around a long metal tube for reinforcement. A six foot longbow is stored in the hollow part. With the lid/plug on, it looks just like a normal, six and a half foot staff, though it's much lighter. Nordal does not use it as a weapon except in extreme circumstances, so that he does not damage the bow. He also has a quiver on his back, between the uprights on the X. It contains forty arrows, and though not disguised, has a lid to stop them from falling out during flips or other things during fighting. The quiver and it's lid are waterproof for protection from the elements(no pun intended).

Origin: Nordal grew up isolated from the rest of civilization in the northern part of the Gravity Basin with his parents and sister, who was four years younger than him. His parents, who were brilliant, schooled him and his sister, using the Gravity Kingdom's vast knowledge. At the age of seven, his father gave him a longbow(which wasn't that long, since he was smaller) for his birthday, helping him practice with dull arrows. As time went on he learned to make them himself, and continued practicing on his own. At the age of fifteen he was sent to one of the largest cities in the kingdom, enrolling both in an academy for gifted students and a training center put on by the best blades masters in the known world. Nordal excelled at both, never quite the best, but never very far from it, either. Nordal was 19 when the plague hit, devastating the city. While no one extremely close to him was infected, and his family was left untouched due to isolation, both schools he attended lost many students and teachers. When the call for adventurers to investigate happenings in Atlantis came, Nordal jumped at the chance to help his kingdom.

Abilities/Skills: High level of skill with his longbow, and dual katanas. Because of growing up in the Gravity Basin(as well as being made of Gravity energy) he has a small amount of control over his gravitational field. Nothing drastic, just enough to let him jump higher, move faster, hit a little harder, things like that. Nordal has always had a natural affinity for animals, allowing him limited communication with them mentally, as well as letting him heal himself from any that are friendly towards him. He is also able to exert influence on animals wills, though this is nowhere near guaranteed to work.

Behavior: His affinity for nature has developed into a mild sort of fanaticism. If someone ever kills an animal(not in self-defense) for sport, or anything else of that type he will count it near that of murder, and likely go berserk on that person. Also, if someone is damaging plant life for no apparent reason he is less likely to freak out, but will still probably count that person as close to an enemy. Because of this he is subconsciously much more likely to befriend another being from a nature related element( :air, :life, :light, or :water), and, on the flip side, much less likely to tolerate a being from elements that are destructive to nature( :fire and  :death:darkness isn't as bad, though it's also on the list).

I think that's everything. Another couple questions, are this version of elementals like Purity envisions them in the other RPG: don't need to eat or sleep, other things like that. Or maybe they need a form of nourishment, just more energy based, or something like that? Also, where do we start? Are we already in the frozen north, or do we have to make our way from our own kingdoms?

I was also thinking about the stat differences on the starting squad: what if you stayed closer to the original stats, but instead modified the size of the squad by their power level? Like, for the example brought up last night of ash eaters vs. graviton mercenaries since ash eaters are so much weaker(and cheaper) in-game, the person with ash eaters would have three or four times as many creatures in their squad as the person with graviton mercenaries(just going off of cost). Or you could make them based off of the upgraded version, with the brimstone eaters producing fire quanta, which in turn could fuel a fire wizard's spells. This could also fit into the alternate form of nourishment idea, where an elemental needs to absorb some of their own element's energy(like fire) which would mean that some creatures would also help feed their master. Just random ideas, at this point.

Umm... Accidentally deleted the host post... so everyone is going to have to apply again....
Holy crud, Purity. I was going to warn you never to delete the host post, but I figured you were too smart to do that. :P I had a beautiful table there...*sniffles* Btw, if the limitations is what made you leave, then you shouldn't leave. (if it's anything else, I'll understand) This is a freeform - I mean, you can do whatever you want (I made this RPG because I was sick of MUD's that have a limited combat system) - as long as its reasonable, of course. :P You CAN kill your squadron if there's a reasonable reason for it - just have an effective excuse ready. And the classes are really only a guideline - I didn't want to make more because I did not want to limit character development. But if you still want to leave, I understand.

Actually, I'm going to copy all the character sheet thingies into the third post of this thread to avoid unnecessary deleting.

Well, adding classes won't limit it, but I just don't really have the time is my biggest problem. I know that it will fall to the bottom of my list of things to do, and I don't like when people do that with RPGs, so I won't be doing that to you guys

They do whatever humans need to do. You start as an adventurer just arriving in Atlantis, probably in your kingdom's embassy.

I'm not sure if I want to stick to stats too much. I go the more realistic way. I see Ash eaters as these pouncing beasts that deal good amounts of damage, and I see Graviton Mercs as these dudes in heavy armor protecting their master.

I'm changing again xD.

Name: Tersion

Element: Darkness

Height: 7 ft. 9'

Class: Assassin (if not a class, Paladin)

Appearance: A Paladin dressed completely in Black clothing. Has Large daggers coming out of his sleeves (Think Assasins creed) And a concealed INSIDE one arm (Think Scorpion [from MK]) Has an Obsidian necklace around his well neck. His hair is short and sleek.

Weapons: Large daggers in his sleeves, A spear inside one arm.  (that he can both send flying and retract) Also his Obsidian Rune allows him to convince any simple-minded being into doing his bidding. Also a longsword that he rarely uses.

Origin: Tersion grew up in the Land of darkness as an Assassin of the highest rank. He had 1 brother, older, that was an Assassin similar to his standard but slightly less quiet. Tersion was sent on a mission to Atlantis after being trained by Thorse, the best Assassin in the lands. His mission consisted of killing the 3 elemental master who caused the plague that killed his family. The three were of Entropy, Light, and Gravity. To aid him in accomplishing the task he was given a small army of 5 pests and 2 Vampires, who slowly drained his enemies of their power or helped him kill them.

Abilities: As an Assassin, his ability to go un-noticed is un-matchable. That, accompanied with his prowess with daggers and spears make him one of the most feared in the realm.

Behavior: I want to keep this one dis-closed so other people will have to RP to find out. (if that's okay with you, Guolin.)

If there is anything you want me to change feel free to tell me.

Hopefully so.

If that's the case...

Name of Character: Sir Samuel Vimes
Element: Earth
Class: Paladin
How Active do you think you will be: As the Multiverse allows.

If at all possible, I'd like him to be a Knight (If it's not, just omit the "Sir" from his name) and start with a really big broadsword (A Diamond shield too, but I doubt that's allowed on top of everything else.)
I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.
