But don't worry, you'll still have an army of superpowered, mutated fireflies...except half of them fall to a "mysterious disease." I'll let the rest survive since it took Purity so much time to breed them so much energy to knock up some FFQ's.

yes, but your wording clearly suggests the creatures died of aflatoxin, not that aflatoxin is cancer

Either way, aflatoxin is cancer. A mutation of cells that kills you. In this case however, the cancer doesn't stop growing when you die.
