THE GAME HAS BEGUN
Phase: Set Up

Roles have been sent out. Shocks will have some time to converse with each other before communications are cut off and to decide who will start giving words and what direction it will go in. Please remember, no chatting about this game. Noobs, start thinking of a word you might send me once the Shocks decide the order. Don't forget to read all the rules, as few new rules have been added to the first page (none of these change gameplay, they just help to clarify the game). Lastly, words given can be ANYTHING as long as they fit in the rules. It is advised to relate that word to your half of the compound word in order to identify other Noobs. BUT WATCH OUT, you don't want to give away too much to the Shocks who are looking to infiltrate.


Finally, I can open up a discord server/channel/subchannel if we want a chat room for this game. Please comment below if you would like or not like this to happen. Thanks for playing everyone and I hope this first run through is a good time for all!



EDIT: All roles and words have been sent out now. We will be waiting for the Shocks to choose the order of word giving, and then round 1 will start. If I receive the order from the Shocks in a day or less I will start Round 1 earlier. I am looking to have rounds end and start at 0:00 UTC. This game consists of 9 Noobs and 2 Shocks. 5 Noobs were giving one half of the word and 4 Noobs the other half.

For our first game, I would not experiment with that. Maybe on the second attempt, or after this run is halfway done.

In case the rules aren't clear, no one needs to be doing anything right now. We're waiting to reorder the sign up list. Then Round 1 will begin.

Rounds have 2 phases:

Phase 1 = everyone sends me a single word
Phase 2 = the words are released publicly in order and then people discuss and vote someone to be devoured.

We're not even in Phase 1 yet so hold your horses.

Round 1 has officially begun! The Shocks have chosen the order in which players will choose words. Using the sign up list order, we will be starting with Coffee and moving down the list until we wrap back around to Naii_the_Baf. I've reordered the list here for convenience and the sign up post will be updated as well with the new order.

All Noobs Please PM me a single word! Remember, this word can be anything as long as it's only one word and follows the rules listed in the rules post on page 1. And for the Shocks, you two can no longer PM each other or communicate in private. All discussion will occur in this thread by everyone from now on. Also Shocks, I will send you the words of all players that are before you in order, so you can see their words before coming up with your own.

Feel free to start discussion if you want, but no voting, and please don't discuss words until the word giving phase is up and all words have been posted. I am going to try making this phase last 48 hours, but I may extend the timer due to the nature of waiting on Noobs to give words before then sending them to the Shocks one by one.

I assume the timer is for how long to send in words, not for Shocks to choose the next order.

As for the first theory, I feel like Coffeeditto is confirmed Noob.  No Shock would think to put themselves first unless they realized someone would think this, but a completely blind and unrelated word could easily out them.

Correct, timer is for sending in words. There is no next order. The Shocks choose the order once at the start of the game, and all subsequent rounds use that order.
