Goals: There are four teams, each has their own piece, represented by a symbol. These symbols are on a 9x9 square and begin in each corner. There is a neutral symbol that begins in the middle of the grid. The object of the game is to get your team's symbol onto the neutral symbol.
Movement: On your team's turn, you may move any piece either vertically or horizontally one space.
Tails: All pieces have a tail. Team pieces have a maximum tail length of five. No piece may cross a tail. If a piece becomes trapped, its tail is reduced by one each round until it can move. The neutral piece has a maximum tail length equal to the current round number.
Rounds: The game begins in round one. When all teams have moved during that round, a new round starts.
Time limit: Teams have 24 hours to make a move when the previous team has done so. If they do not, their turn is skipped.
Jumping: A team may "jump" a piece by putting another piece on top of it. The piece that was jumped on is then placed in any chosen corner (by the jumper). That team may move again. If no corner is available, the piece may be placed anywhere. When a piece is moved in this manner, its tail disappears.
Teams: Teams consist of four players. Once you have joined a team, you may quit, but you may not join another team. The reason for teams is to make the game go faster. Instead of a four player game where there could be several hours or days between moves, we can keep the interval between moves to a minimum.
Blunders: Blunders are really bad moves. If it is clear that a player made a blunder on purpose in order to hurt their team, I reserve the right to cancel that move and remove that player from the game. This is basically to keep someone new from joining and ruining the game. If you've been playing for several rounds and I think it's just a regular blunder, I'll let it slide. I might nominate one to three other people that have the ability to undo purposeful blunders.
The Board aka Grid: Blank spaces are shown by a
symbol. The four team pieces are

There are five spaces between each symbol and each line is double spaced. Keep it this way so things stay aligned.
Performing your turn: Team
starts. They can move any piece and must fix its tail as well. The round then continues in a clockwise manner (
,

,
, repeat). Team
is in charge of keeping the round number correct. At the end of your turn, you must say who's turn it is next. So after
makes their move, they then say "Next move:
." Teammates do not need to take turns, however it is encouraged just so people don't feel left out. If a teammate asks to make one of the next moves, help them out by letting them know when it's their turn. If they aren't around, go ahead and make it for them, since progressing the game is more important.
When making your move, quote the last move and simply alter the board's code (get rid of the quote part).
Discussion: All discussion happens at the end of your posts if you made a move.

Let's get this party started!

Round 1
Next move:
It is still round 1, so the neutral piece's tail has a maximum length of one.
Round 1
Next move:
However, team pieces have a maximum of five throughout the entire game, so 's tail can be more than one in length this round.
Round 2
Next move:
It is now round 2.
Round 2
Next move:
So, the neutral piece has a maximum tail length of two.
Round 2
Next move:
Fixed the neutral's tail when it was moved again. Don't forget to do that.

And this concludes the example.
I hope that I have covered everything you need to know in order to play the game. If I left anything out, I will add it to the host post right away.
Please do not post until Demagog has!
