Paradise Lost 3This is a forum game based on alliances and betrayal, or as Legit puts it: "a psychological strategy game". If you have read the manga "Liar Game", it is very similar to the games presented there. There will be 4 or 5 rounds, and each round will consist of a different game. To increase your odds of winning, it is usually a good idea to try to talk to and ally with some other players. Each game, some (or none) players will lose, and be out. In the end of the last round, there will be 1 player left, the winner. For examples on how the games will be, check out
Legit's original game,
my previous Paradise Lost or the Liar Game manga.
Unlike many other forum games, there are no rules about chatting or PMing with the other players: You can freely quote or screenshot PMs, you can lie, you can post in the topic (as long as you dont just spam of course). Anything is viable.
Each round will put you against all the other players, but it will be important to talk and cooperate with some of them. Of course, betrayal might sometimes be even more rewarding...
Spoiler for Introductory lore text:
They say money can't buy happiness, but they're wrong, Submachine thought to himself, sipping on his drink while sunbathing on his yacht. It had now been over a year since he won Paradise Lost, and he was living his dream life. The massive gold reward he had gotten was enough for a life in luxury several times over. He still dreamt nightmares about all the death he had seen during the game, but luckily that seemed to be slowly disappearing. The world suddenyl turned dark, and Submachine realized something was blocking the sun. He looked up and saw his butler standing in front of him. "Sir, the Paradise Lost Corporation called again. They're asking if you would like to participate in their next game, and they need an answer now." Submachine didn't even have to think before answering: "Nah, I'll be just fine without that game again." Submachine already had everything he had ever wished for, he had no reason to play the game again. Of course, it was playing the game in the first place that got him here now, so it was certainly understandable for others to play, others that had everything to gain. Submachine made a mental note to call back to Paradise Lost Co. sometimes later to hear how the game went, but now he simply went back to sipping on his drink...
Meanwhile, somewhere else...
You had recieved a letter. The envelope itself didn't look special, but maybe that was what was special about it. There were no markings on it to show who sent it, not even your address was on it, so someone must have left it off personally. You opened it, and were greeted by a message in big letters: "Do you have what it takes to battle a dozen other players in a game of wits? Maybe you wouldn't say no to a massive stack of gold? You are hereby invited to the most dangerous and prestigious game in the world: Paradise Lost!" The rest of the letter was a description on how to to contact the 'Paradise Lost Corporation' if you wanted to accept the invitiation. A massive stack of gold does sound very tempting, you thought. You decided to accept the invitation, you had nothing to lose after all. I mean, how dangerous could it possibly be?
