Welcome to Graboidbow-RNG-Armedilgo-Firestall-Desync, or GRAFD for short! This game is just like an Elements/War themed Rock-paper-scissors-lizard-Spock (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock-paper-scissors-lizard-Spock).
How to PlayFirst there will be a sign up phase, lasting three days, where players post in this thread to sign up. The maximum amount of players is 32, so get a spot quick!
After sign ups end, I will place each name on a double elimination tournament bracket, and each player will PM a list of moves.
The winner of each round will be determined by the order of moves and the outcome of each individual move.
Graboidbow beats Armedilgo, Desync
Armedilgo beats Firestall, RNG
RNG beats Graboidbow, Firestall
Desync beats RNG, Armedilgo
Firestall beats Graboidbow, Desync
Graboidbow outrushes Armedilgo and wins even during a Desync.
Armedilgo beats Firestall and RNG for these reasons:
[22:12:32] avirst3: lol the ai3 used 6 Baslisk bloods on a armedilgo and then catapulted it for (Insert HP of Firestall) damage lol
[23:08:54] Bhlewos: The RNG wrecks you. Armedilgo wrecks the RNG.
RNG beats Graboidbow and Firestall because you will lose with even the best decks if the RNG causes your draws to be bad.
Desync beats RNG because a desync can help a player with bad RNG and hurt a player with favorable RNG. It beats Armedilgo because Armedilgo does not perform well after a desync.
Firestall beats Graboidbow because, well, it does in the actual Elements the game. It also beats Desync, just because.
So, for example, if my moves are
Firestall
RNG
Armedilgo
Desync
Armedilgo
And my opponent's moves are
Firestall
Firestall
Firestall
Graboidbow
Firestall
They will be paired up like this:
Firestall -> Firestall. Tie. 0-0
RNG -> Firestall. I win. 1-0
Armedilgo -> Firestall. I win. 2-0
Desync -> Graboidbow. My opponent wins. 2-1
Armedilgo- > Firestall. I win. 3-1
I will win 3-1. I will move on and my opponent will either move down to the losers bracket or be eliminated.
If there is a tie (for example, 2-2), both players will send me five more actions, and the FIRST non-tie result will be the result of the entire match.
Playing the GameAfter I post the brackets, each player will PM me with a list of X moves (X changes each round). You have 48 hours to do so. If you not send any actions within the time limit, you automatically lose. So you better send a PM.
I will then post the results and start the next round.
The first round will be best of 5, but each subsequent round will have an increased amount of moves.
And of course, the last person standing wins!
