This is a little overpowered. It can't be that easy for him to enter someone's mind.

  I don't think so. You have to think his name, there are many ways to avoid using his name in your thoughts and after the first time it happens the charcters will be careful.

He's a narcissist. He doesn't give a damn about your thoughts unless your praising him or it benefits im in some way.

He can't take over your mind with his powers, he can only cause pain, make you see illusions, mess with you or things like that. He can even heal you through that connection so it'll help allies. I suspect the emporer knows all of our powers already so he'll be able to avoid that.

I suggest you get rid of the "thinking of his name grants him free passage" part. Just say he has very strong psychic powers.

Changed it - now he can only read your thoughts. He cannot control you or influence you in any way unless he forces his way in.

Ever have the feeling someones staring at you? Zeph gets that feeling when someone is thinking about him and he uses it to hone in on the signal.

No, I can simply block him out. That's the way of telepaths, you can always block a mental assault.

It's not an assault. An assault suggests harm. To harm you he has to force his way into your mind. Your mind is still perfectly safe and he can only read your current thoughts, not memories or anything like that.

Nevertheless, any telepath can shield his mind completely off from another telepath. The only way to gain access to a shielded mind is to break in.

Let's stop bickering. Gl1tch, the GM, has said nothing about his character, so until the GM says something, people need to stop telling other players what they can and cannot do.
