[Round "1"]
[White "DesertKnight"]
[Black "Oni"]
[Result "1-0"]
1. f4 e6 <-- Again that pawn opening : Kings pawn gambit , Oni said "oppsie" in chat.. wasn't a bad move I thought.. still very playable...
2. d4 Be7
3. Nf3 Nf6
4. Nc3 b6
5. e4 Bb7 <--- Oni goes pure defensive on me, I switch tactics a bit...
6. e5 Ne4 <-- e5 isn't something I"d normally go for, but it's a slight "aggressive push" (another gamble)
7. Nxe4 Bxe4
8. Bd3 Bxd3
9. Qxd3 O-O <--- just what I wanted heavy intense trading!
10. Be3 c5 <--- brilliant move, I was so focused on the "king side" (oni's) I got taken a few steps back when he attacked my queen side.
11. dxc5 bxc5
12. O-O-O d5
13. f5 f6 <-- at this point it becomes debatable (depending on your style) if these pawn pushes were worth while for Oni
14. fxe6 d4
15. Bf4 fxe5
16. Bxe5 Bf6
17. Qe4 Bxe5
18. Nxe5 Rf6
19. Qxa8 Rxe6 <--- ouch, a bit pre-emtive, that rook goes down and it turns from an even battle of pawn strategies to a "numbers game"
20. Rhe1 a6
21. c3 d3
22. Rxd3 Qf8
23. Qd5 Qf4+ <-- once the queen was on center, pinning that rook made it feel like one less piece was on Oni's side in an already compromised situation...
24. Kb1 Qf8
25. Qxe6+ Kh8
26. Rd8 Qxd8
27. Nf7+ Kg8 <-- was aiming for a "knight's mate" XD silly me, forgot king can move still .. so took it for what it's worth.
28. Nxd8+ Kf8
29. Qf7# 0-1
