Now ... ask dave if he has anything. like masteries so we can take the shields or the lobos or somethiing. or if he has teleports or healing things

Dave is not a magic wielder like elves or Aetherians.  If you want to find the Entropic magic wielders, you'll have to delve into the Entropic temple, which isn't recommended.

You could search the caves for a side quest, a store (although you have no money) you could delve into the entropic temple, or you could keep traveling.  You might want to try and learn Edgar's backstory though.

"Hmm?  Oh, I'm a graboid.  I just traveled up here for the fun of it and got stuck.  For some reason I can't burrow anymore." 

He is most definitely not a graboid.  He most closely resembles a blue crawler.

"Wait wait wait", says Dave as the three of you head outside, "You are most certainly not a graboid."
"Am to," says Edgar, says Edgar quietly.
"Are not.  Who do you think you're fooling?" asks Dave, somewhat cruelly.
"What do you mean?  I don't have to fool anyone.  Back in the lands of earth everyone will recognize me at once." Says Edgar, stubbornly.  His eyes begin to water.
"Yea right," continues Dave, oblivious, "One look at you and the gnomes will recognize you as a mutant.  If you've been effected by mana, they won't let you back..."
At that, Edgar tearfully evolves.  Into a Devonian Dragon.  With Devour.

You have initiative, what do you do?

So, you made me talk to Edgar so I get eaten? And you joined life?!?! 
OK, try to convince him to be our friend. I mean, I think we "got him out of his hell whole"

Well, the only reason I like light is because of blessed vampires, which is across factions, as is raging angels.

So i went with my next favorite thing, adrenaline.

Anyway...

"WOA woa woa" you scream, "calm down."
"Freak they screamed. Mutant.  They cast me aside like dirt.  I have to live with the muck and the scum and even they insult me.  But now I'm a dragon.  And now I can eat.  I eat them, and then head to the great deserts.  I'll be the scarab king.  Who will mock me then.  Who DARES mock me now?!"
"Will you please shut up," says edgar, annoyed.  "I get it, you have problems.  We all did.  You were kicked out of your land, had to walk all of two miles to get here?  I had to travel halfway around the goddamn world to get here, and I was beaten the whole time.  And look at me!  I'm useless!  I can't fight, I can't dive or burrow or any of that.  So shut up.  You're one of the lucky ones."
As Edgar charges, you see his tail start to disappear.  His attack power is 14.  His health 13.
"ARG" he screams as he flies off into the desert, "You'll see!!!!!"

New side quest: Save the scarabs from Edgar.

We need to go to the scarabs and convince at least 14 of them to unite so that they could defeat edgar. To time lands we go!

Okay, now we DO need the diver and what about the nymph. I make the nymph deja vu herself and knock out the two, leaving only the third mutant.
