When nuclear world war broke out, few people were spared. All of the major cities were completely destroyed. Radiation reached almost every edge of the planet. It was fatal to most of the world, but a small portion of the population was instead mutated by the radiation. Their intelligence and strength greatly increased to unnatural levels. They also gained a strong thirst for power. It was almost impossible for them to be killed by an ordinary human. These incredible beings had a strange connection to eachother. They knew who the other superhumans were. The only information they lacked was where they were.
The radiation had a strange effect on 12 items scattered throughout the world. Not only did they become invisible, but they each gained unique abilities based on the natural Elements of the universe. They became the 12 most powerful items in the new world. The superhumans had been mutated to be able to see these items that were hidden from the rest of the world. They each salvaged one, to use it when it was necessary.
The radiation never reached a few areas of the world. Four small cities survived the nuclear war. The survivors gathered around the cities to rebuild the human race. They were unsuccessful. None of the cities could establish a strong government or any form of organization. The inhabitants all knew that they needed a powerful, charismatic leader to unite the city under one ruler.
The superhumans each settled in one of the four remaining cities. They quickly gained power, support, and allies. All of them wanted to eliminate the other superhumans, but it would not be an easy task. Killing a rival in their own city was simple, but it would take the entire city's support in order to kill someone in another city. Once all of the other superhumans were killed, the remaining superhuman would have no trouble gaining control of the damaged world that remained.
Rules
Any amount of players may sign up. When the game starts, players are evenly divided into 4 cities. The host will make a list of all of the players, but will not reveal what city anyone is in. The host will also PM each player their own city. Every day, players send a PM to the host with one name: the player they want to target. If a player targets someone in their own city, they will kill them. If every remaining player in a city targets the same player, they will kill them. If a player does not kill their target, they will learn what city their target is in. At the end of the round, the host will respond to each PM. They will either tell the player that they killed their target, or tell the player the city of their target. The host will also post a list of killed players in the official thread. This list will not include the cities of the players or the players that killed them. The next round will then start. The last surviving player(s) will be the winner of Elimination. Their name will be added to the Elimination Hall of Fame, which will appear at the start of each new Elimination thread. If all remaining players die in the same round, the winners are the players that were alive at the start of the last round.
Players are also given items at the start of the game. Upon killing another player, they will gain a copy of his or her item. The powers of each item are shown below.
Shield of Aether: The user has one extra life.
Owl of Air: At the start of every round, the user will see the city of a randomized other player.
Cloak of Darkness: The user's city is never revealed.
Eyes of Death: The user sees who killed each player.
Stones of Earth: The user cannot die on odd-numbered rounds.
Portal of Entropy: At the start of every round, the user will switch cities with a randomized other player.
Ring of Fire: After killing a player, the user will always kill their next target for one round.
Armor of Gravity: At the end of every round, a randomized other member of the user's city will have their target directed at the user's target.
Circle of Life: At the start of every round divisible by 3 (3, 6, 9, etc.) the user will generate an extra life.
Cross of Light: The user is immune to the effects of items other players have.
Hands of Time: The user sees the city of each killed player.
Orb of Water: At the start of every turn, a randomized other member of the user's city will be frozen and unable to attack. Their item(s) will be shown to the user.
