I'm still thinking about it. Looks like fun, but i need to know: how long will the event last?

Probably a few months.

With 11 people the first one Started March 12 and Ended May 26. That is about 2 and a half months.
I'd assume slightly shorter for this one as the rules have been modified to make it more of a challenge.

The next time this gets played can the sign up timer after getting the required amount of players be shorter? This feels like it's taking forever but that could be my anticipation cause I couldnt participate in the first one.

Well that was fast. To explain, mathman101 and CrockettRocket bumped, and since they both stomped, they remained in position, and CrockettRocket gained it status. Then Basman bumped into him, transferring it status to him. Ouch indeed.
