See, historically, the great tree was killed during the void war, jes' like the light-fall was a couple days back by the northern scourge. You'll notice rustlers are far more willing to team up with fireflies now, light quanta is hard to come by. Angels can't heal anymore. Anyway, when the tree was killed, it wasn't resurrected. Another one grew from a chaos seed, as a sign of peace between the fallen and risen elves.
But it wasn't the same tree! Those fallen elves were tryin' to pull a fast one on us, so we're getting 'em back and sendin' 'em home.
If you find the Great Tree, I'd love to hear about it, maybe you could show me where it is. But unless some miracle happened while I wasn't payin' attention, the Great Tree is dead."
