Sephrenia had lost count of the days she had been in the so called Entropic Shores, everywhere she went all seemed the same - the price paid for staying away from civilisation. But the last week had seemed very similar, just one great field with a smattering of trees around her, and the ever looming mountains in The Kingdom of Darkness to the north-west. But worse than the boredom of never-changing scenery, was the great lack of food. The Fireflies went out each day to search for fruit, but each day seemed to bring in less and less. Today was no different. The Fireflies are out searching while Sephrenia marched forward towards the boarder with the Dead Marches.
Hearing a buzzing noise, Sephrenia stopped and turned towards it. It was the pair of Fireflies back from today's foraging run. Sephrenia sat down whilst the pair caught up, when they were closer she shouted to them, "Have you found much today? I'm starting to think you're eating it all yourselves!" Of course, they didn't reply - no Firefly ever did. Sephrenia didn't know if they were incapable of speech, or if they simply refused to speak to Queens. Either way, it didn't bother her greatly, at least they still listened and understood her requests.
"Let's have it then." She said as the Flies got closer. The pair dropped a small lot of berries to the floor, even less than yesterday. Sephrenia sighed, "Less and less each day... I think it may be time we sought out a small village, somewhere to buy ourselves supplies."
The pair flapped their wings violently, making a great buzzing sound, as if in protest. "Then what would you have me do? Starve? We need to find a place with more food. I can tell you two are getting weaker too." But the wings still flapped. "This isn't a suggestion. Tomorrow, you two will find us a village and we will head for it - after we're loaded with supplies, we can stay as far away from civilisation as possible."
The buzzing died down, but Sephrenia knew the pair were angry. She didn't care, they were here to service her needs - sure, the whole point of this journey was to give Fireflies a place to live in harmony with Queens, but they still must know their place.
The three marched onwards for a few more hours before night fell. A small fire was made from logs brought from the nearby forests - another one of the Fireflies' tasks - and the three settled down for their sleep. Sephrenia could tell the pair were still uneasy at the thought of finding civilisation. The most obvious give-away was their tails - much less light tonight. She hoped they would be more receptive in the morning, after all, it was them who were to find the closest village.
OOC: Where exactly are we meeting? Will there be any specific landmarks nearby, or something for Sephrenia to head for? Also, do you mind if Sephrenia brings along some angry people? Thinking of having something happen in the village that has some of them chase her away.
