Mordekai replies, "I have no idea; perhaps. But he doesn't seem like a bad person; maybe you should trust him. He said himself that he would only study you and offer you a job. Tell you what; I'll walk in with you in your regular golem form, and if he does any funny business, I'll be right there beside you and we'll take him down together. Sounds fair?"

"Alright, but only if we share whatever reward he gives you." He moves back into the alleyway and removes the armor. Stepping back into the street and returned to the height the shopkeeper had last seen him. "Shall we?"

Mordekai smiled. "Let's go." They strode inside the shop. "Here, I found him on the streets, just like you asked," he told the shopkeeper.

The shop owner sighed with relief, "Oh good, I was worried I'd have to wait all week. Where did your friend go? The fire eater I gave the quest to?" He walked up to Dorfl and held out his name. "Greetings, I am Amal, the owner of this shop, and leader of the GraviTen. I saw you entering town, you... you changed on your way in. I'm not sure how, but i'd like to study you. Tell me, where is your master?"

Dorfl said nothing, pretending to play dumb. He did, however, make his skin change to a slightly brighter color, to see if the shopkeeper would catch on.

"Interesting... No ability to speak... seems you master isn't very adept at creating golems. No matter, perhaps you could lead me to him?" He paused for a moment, waiting for your reaction. "You're MASTER?"

Dorfl continued to stare, then finally broke and said "I have no master, I am independent, I came here looking for supplies, if you want more information, you'll need to tell me who GraviTen are"

The shopkeep blinked in surprise. "No master you say? Interesting.. No no, I couldn't tell you, too much risk you might go blathering on about us to those damned mercs."

"Are you sure there's absolutely NO chance of you telling me?" he said, growing in height to a huge 10" and darkening his color.

Reaching behind his desk, and pulling out the fabled pulverizer, Amal nodded curtly. "Aye, I think I can say now with all confidence that no, I will not be telling you about the Graviten. Move on, or stay and die. I do not wish to fight you, but I will not be threatened in my own shop."
