"Dorfl", replied Dorfl. "Nice meeting you."

Mordekai watched intently as the woman somehow manipulated the water and lowered it into the pot. Some sort of telekinesis, knew Mordekai, having a bit of pyrokinesis himself. The woman was attractive, yet bizarre on many levels. Who knows what other skills she might have, thought Mordekai, suddenly feeling out of place in the underground cavern.

"So what brings you two to the magma mountains today? I thought the Fire Eaters and the Mercs were in some kind of war?" The woman asked as she stirred the pot of soup. She leaned against the pot, not noticing the increasing heat as she turned to you, her head tilted curiously to the side. "Not fighting in the war are you?"

[Diabriel]

He quickly dumps the contents of a canteen on the webbing at his feet and freezes it, making it brittle.   With a vicious jerk of his leg the webbing shatters and he rushes at the free spider.  He launches a bolt of ice at the creature illuminating the cavern a bit hoping find an opening.  Seeing his chance he lunges at the creature impaling him upon the tridents blades and twists the weapon violently.

"Dorfl and I are going back to the Magma Mountains after some traveling around," explained Mordekai. "We're not really fighting in the war, per se, but the Mercenaries... well... I do have some business to do with them." Mordekai glanced to Dorfl, who was looking at him. He made no reaction.

[Purity_Riot]

Dia: The spider creature hisses horribly on your trident, flailing and trying to reach you as it's life blood flows from it. With this stab you realize they are not true spiders, in place of an exoskeleton, they have bones and organs, flesh, a mammalian structure. The creature spits web in all directions, layering the caverns floor with sticky webbing as it dies. The other two flesh spiders spray their web at you, a mostly liquid substance this time that coats your body and hardens, slowing your movements. As it touches your skin, you feel a burning sensation, the webbing is acidic!

Icy and Terro: The woman nods, lifting her arms off the pot and coming back to the table. Though her forearms are burnt where they were on the pot, they quickly heal, looking like fresh new skin. She sits at the table and picks at her rice, smiling.
"Well, that's good. I hate to think of what it must be like in up there. I've been down here for... two years now i think? It's nice to have company, even if it's the secretive type." She looks over at the fire and concentrates as five burning hot embers float over to the table, resting on the plate before you, next to some rice.

Levitation and healing... The woman seemed strange to no end. As one should be if they're holed up in some cave for two years, thought Mordekai. He thanked the woman and held an ember up to his mouth. He opened his mouth slightly, then inhaled deeply. The energy from the fire transferred into Mordekai, and he digested it and stored the energy. Feeling stronger already, he put down the now-dull ember and prepared to "eat" another one.

"So," he said, feeling more comfortable, "Why are you here in the first place? Why did you choose to make a cavern underneath the Magma Mountains your home if you are from the Frozen North?"

Icy and Terro:   After exchanging a fleeting glance with Iander, the girl says to you
"Well... I suppose I just fell in love with this place. I mean, look at around, it's beautiful," She sighs as she pops some fish in her mouth, following before she continues, "I mean, that river there is heated by a nearby volcano, and it's filled with fish, I mean literally. They breed here I think, using the heat to incubate their eggs. You don't find many warm blooded fish up in the frozen north." She nods sagely, eating some more rice.
"I suppose you could say it's because I'm not a fan of the cold."

[Diabriel]

Dia stabs the trident downward powerfully, leaving the spider pinned to the floor. Then Taking advantage of the unfrozen spiders immobile state,  He Barrages them with icebolts with one hand, while freezing and removing this acidic web from his body with the other before it can hurt him any further.   Grabbing his Trident and tearing it from the body of the spider he makes a dash for the two while continuing his bombardment.   He leaps above one, and swings his trident in a downward arc, splitting one in half.   He then quickly twists on the heel of his boot and drives the spear-like end of his weapon into the head of the other.

"Not a fan of the cold?" laughed Mordekai. "Interesting. Neither am I." Mordekai gets up. "Thanks for your hospitality. I think I'll go explore this cavern for a little while."

"Yeah, I'll do the same," says Dorfl, glancing at Mordekai.

[Sirenes]

{OOC} After catching up a bit, I decided to add a tattoo to my character. If it isn't allowed, just let me know and I'll get that mother "lasered off"

[Terroking]

"So what do you think of her?" Said Dorfl when they appeared to be out of earshot. "She looks like some type of Nymph, or maybe an odd human? Well, I'm going to ask her, and if that fails then I'll see what her golem knows." As they walked, the path they had followed appeared to lead in a circle, putting them back in the room.

Dia: The spiders could barely stand to the assault from your ice bolts, the spear slashes finishing them off. All that was left before you was one frozen spider. The other had clearly thawed and escaped down one of the many tunnels leading out of the cave.
