Ok this is turning into a Xanriel-Jonathan-Catyrael story with some cameos by Sirenes.

Ahem...what happened to us?

I really need Terro to continue my story since he has a big role in this battle, I can't just take over his character.

[OOC] Hehe, Sirenes doesn't do much, but she'll be a large part of the story in time. You'll see. I'm just waiting for the right moment. Itching to get to it too = )

[INC]
At the sound of the commanding voice from the clouds, Sirenes turned in synch with Xanriel, gazing into the sudden source of light in the ever gloomy sky of the Lands of Death. When it seemed that Xanriel knew this voice, she glanced to him questioningly, but recieved no answer. Only reluctantly did she release his hand, chuckling softly as he scolded a nearby vampire who simply scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Just don't get yourself in any trouble!" She called after him.

OOC: Actually, you already did that to get this far, so really you can.

Icy and Terro have been posting less, but the next campaign is Terro focused, and the following one was his idea. The three of us just post more often, that's why it seems that way. The short story arc of me and Catyrael won't affect anyone else, and more to your point, is one of the first times any part of this campaign has been 'focused' on me. I've done interesting things with my character for character development reasons, as any good RPGer with as much free time as me should, but there has never been a focus on me. For that, you want Blood.

also, Yay Sirenes is back :) ^.^ did you get a chance to read over any of my ideas?

[OOC] I'm not back back, I'm just at school right now so I have access to the computers. Supposedly I should be getting internet back as soon as my sister stops dicking around and just asks me to hook it up. They know damn well they're computer illiterate.  ::). Yes, I read your ideas and I commented on them yesterday in my post. I like a little of everybodys. Speaking of...

@Blood: I know that the game sets the elements as equal. I just don't think we should have to stick to every single little limitation. I'm not saying that heaven or hell or both are greater than any of the others. I'm saying that at the moment there could be a disruption that has temproarily weakened some or strengthened others. -shrugs- Just thought it would be interesting.

OOC: I've been posting less because I'm getting busier and busier...

MaX transformed and landed on Veneficus. Heimdall started halfheartedly preparing a spell. What are my options?
I can attack with magic, but they'll explode and spread disease. Same thing if I attack mentally or physically. I can confuse them, but they might bump into each other... and I don't want to risk using telekinesis on them. Shaking them up too much may cause them to explode.
Heimdall was out of options. He could try to dodge them, but they were coming in from all sides.

Then, a thought sprang in his head as he watched MaX absorb more and more :entropy from Veneficus. What the heck. We're dead anyways. "Veneficus, when I say go, destroy as many of these Viruses as you can."

"But they'll-"

"Just listen to me. I'll tell you when." They were getting closer; the nearest one couldn't have been more than two feet from Heimdall. Then, Heimdall addressed MaX. "Do you know what a Dissipation FIELD is?" Heimdall remembered how MaX had casted a very powerful Dissipation Shield that had successfully absorbed Heimdall's Thunderbolt spell. One of the main weaknesses of it, however, was that it was unidirectional; that was, an attack from the back would not be absorbed. A Dissipation Field, which was an advanced version of the Shield, was able to cover one and his allies in a sphere of absorption.

"Y-yes," MaX said, "But I've barely-"

"You can do it," Heimdall said. "It's our only hope. I'll tell you when; start preparing it." Heimdall knew that MaX would have trouble with such an advanced spell, but Heimdall had confidence in him. After all, he has grown stronger... and he is the Master of Entropy, right? The viruses were less than a foot away. Heimdall charged up a Chain Lightning spell, ready to obliterate the lot of the Viruses with Veneficus's help. Veneficus was busy with a Shadow area spell.

Heimdall waited until the last possible moment. He wondered what target MaX would choose to concentrate the damage to. He'd better be smart and choose something far away, or we'd still die. It was all up to him now; if the Field was unsuccessful, then they would be dead. But we're taking the Viruses down, either way.

The nearest Virus was now floating inches from his skin. Heimdall's mind tugged outwards, yearning to be free. Wait for it... wait...

"NOW!" Heimdall yelled. The viruses floated an inch from Heimdall as he released his spell. I wonder if I know what I'm doing...

Blood, the intervention mandate officially stipulates that the Sword of Justice preserve as much life they can by immediately effecting a ceasefire. However, should the ideal not be achievable, it is implicit that Catyrael must end the war as quickly as possible, in a manner as best as possible; the exact course of action is at his discretion.

Regarding the sequence of events, I shall propose the following:

1) The battle finishes and Catyrael acquaints himself with the party, including a reunion with his ancient friend Xanriel (whom he has not seen or heard from ever since the latter departed for his campaign against the Fallen Elves)

2) You depart for the fight against Necrosis; as the battle should not require a long time, Emparael will arrive subsequently, beginning the segment of focus upon Xanriel.

Thus, your fight against Necrosis should not conflict with the Emparael duel.

Concerning the relative strengths of the Angels, I am aware of the nine ranks of the Christian angelic hierarchy; I do not believe that we here have a need to oblige it as I had envisioned the Greater Archangels as being the supreme powers of Heaven. However, to create a distinctive position for Heaven's legends like Solraegiel and Chamuel, why not bestow upon them a special honour like Exalted Archangel, the extremely special few who merit remembrance by the Angels until the end of Time?

For three exact seconds as recorded by the thumping of Catyrael's heart, time seemed to freeze, as all other noises and all other sights disappeared from his consciousness, bringing him to an exclusive focus upon this most impressive figure who had just arisen out of the fog in what seemed to be a glorious supernova of brilliant light - light to match that of the greatest Angels, even.

The Archangel of Justice and his companion were indeed transfixed for a full three seconds as they attempted to identify the figure and his intentions, until Falindael broke the silence.

"By the holiest light of Solraegiel..." he whispered, "He even seems to have been acquainted with you. But I am curious as to this: do you know him?"

"It is entirely possible that certain rogue Angels upon the Earth whom escaped the Council's detection, but this is no mere rogue Angel. There is an aura of immense power about him, which is tangible even from this distance. I highly suspect that he is one of the Masters we were told about: the Master of Light. But patient yourself for another second and look beyond the obvious...by the Morning Glory of Solraegiel and Chamuel indeed... can it be?"

"What do you see, Catyrael?"

"To say he has changed significantly is the greatest understatement conceivable, but his face has never changed. Look beyond the ultimately irrelevant details. Behold the face, Falindael; there lies the key to our riddle."

Falindael did as he was bidden and concentrated on Xanriel's face.

"He bears a striking ressemblance to the Singer, the son of Miracle!"

"Indeed. Unfortunately, you had not yet seen the light when Xanriel and I were ancient friends at a time when Heaven was at the height and glorious noontide of its power. Despite his disappearance, I have never forgotten the songs of Xanriel, which have acquired a legendary status, for all of high Heaven has never listened to music more beautiful. Did you know, Falindael, I once thought that had I his voice and the talent for singing songs as magnificently enchanting as he could, even were the price to be paid for the granting of my wish my own life, I would gladly have accepted; for whom in all the history of the World can claim to have died with such a swan song? And upon hearing the highest music of Heaven, whom could dare suggest that the life was wasted and that the death was to be regretted? But how is this possible? Long before the end of the Second Golden Age, he departed for Earth, and was never heard from again. I became completely ignorant of what happened to him afterwards, save that he had been tragically defeated during a heroic last stand against multiple legions of Fallen Elves and their Abominations. Apparently, he has more than survived. He has somehow acquired a power which, when unleased to its full potential, will prove to be greater than that of a Greater Archangel, even my own."

Without further ado, Falindael following closely, he sped towards the luminous eighteen-winged figure.

Then proclaiming in his powerful, angelic voice, a bright smile of true joy having been restored to his features, "Ancient friend of Heaven, this is the merriest and most blessed of meetings! Dare I ask how you have been faring for all these years?"

Xanriel's wings gave one mighty flap, bringing him to a complete stop only a few feet from his friend, his feet carrying the rest of the distance between the two. At first, Xanriel had his hand out to clasp his friends, but his joy over took him.

"Respect be damned!" Xanriel laughed as he closed the distances and hugged his oldest friend tightly, letting go after only a moment, then stepped back, taking his friends hand in his own in a tight grasp, "I have been well my friend, given all that I have suffered, I can truly say that I'm the happiest I've been in centuries."

He quickly recounted everything that had happened to him, from his first battle against the Fallen Druid, the loss of his immortality, to his last battle against that very same Fallen Druid, his insanity and the breaking of it, the worst and the best of his experiences and actions, of his meeting his thrice cursed ex, and more importantly, of his new love,

"...and most amazingly of all," Xanriel said, finally taking a breath, "She's half angel, the daughter of Lucius no less!"

Er... Purity has agreed that Jonathan and Xanriel should fight Necrosis together, since Necrosis was created from parts of Johann and Exriel. I want Xanriel to be a part of this, because I want to see his OMGWTF reaction when Necrosis uses Exriel's signature spell "Metastasis Morti".

And when can Jonathan fight Emparael? If it's before Xanriel was captured, then Jonathan would have to lose (because otherwise he would not allow his friend Xanriel to be taken), and I don't like losing. Would it be possible to bring Emparael to Earth a second time?
Or... Xanriel could go willingly even after Emparael loses... Yeah, that could work too...

OOC: That's my problem. This isn't Blood's RPG, and i think we can all agree it's slowly turning into that. This is why we all need to be a little more proactive with our characters and what WE want from the plot.
This is turning into my RPG because I am proactive. I usually think very far ahead on things like this. If you don't want me to dominate this RPG, then you should think ahead, too.

As for the Angel hierarchy... I don't exactly care about the Christians, but I still feel that the Seraphim should be the highest order of Angels since they have six wings. Usually, I think of Archangels as having larger-than-normal wings, Cherubim having four wings, and Seraphim having six.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

OOC: We're all proactive, we're not planning as far ahead as you because we don't want to make decisions for others.

also, the cherubim where baby angels.

I think we've basically already set our 'elements angel hierarchy', and archangels are all the highest, from less to greater.

Erm... Sometimes they are, but other times the Cherubim are four-winged angels. This part is kind of ambiguous, but if you want to make the Cherubim baby Angels then sure.

Neither do I. I suggest, then ask for permission. As I said before, there is always room for discussion and compromise. If I ask and no replies, then I assume that the person agrees to what I suggested.
