No way. If Nyxia is kidnapped, then Jonathan will start beating himself up and go off searching for her even if he has to ditch the whole group. Hell, Obyriths, they don't mean a thing to him if Nyxia was in danger.

Quote
Should the Obyrith arc be before or after the Nymph arc? Originally it was supposed to be before.
I made a mistake in this quote. I want the Obyrith arc to be AFTER the Nymph arc. At the end of the Obyrith arc Jonathan will gain full control of his Master powers, so that might enable him to take down Malcolm too easily if the Nymph arc happens after that. And don't forget, I have things planned with Faustus, the Master of Death.

Hm... Let me see... I suggest the following:

We finish up with the Morte arc. The group departs for the Kingdom of Darkness, planning to celebrate the victory once they get back; Jonathan invites Catyrael and the other Angels along in an attempt to ease tensions  between Light and Darkness.

Midway through the journey, the group receives a report concerning an escaped Obyrith. Jonathan, Catyrael, and some other people takes a detour to go investigate, while Nyxia and the other group goes back to Umbrios.

We find that Obyrith, and kill it, but the Obyrith arc doesn't officially start yet. Malcolm kidnaps Nyxia. Jonathan senses that, and goes berserk. The group then proceeds to go find Nyxia, and they meet Faustus along the way, and possibly Sekhor, Mordekai and Alex. Nyxia is rescued.

Then, Malcolm goes to the Abyss himself, and frees the rest of the Obyriths; he will be their "external assistance". The Obyrith arc officially begins.

Is the workable?
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

NO ONES IN THE DESERTS OF TIME! JESUS CHRIST.

As for workability of your idea Blood. I don't care when you have Nyxia get kidnapped, but Sirenes and I won't be with the group when she gets kidnapped. There's not discussing this fact. You all won't see Xanriel again anytime soon. He's going straight from Heaven, to looking for Sirenes. If an Obyrith battle happens between now and then, that's fine, but Xanriel will be searching for Sirenes, and finding her, far before you guys are even aware of Malcom.

This fact is unarguable. Sirenes and I have decided what we're doing with our characters, and Helios knows his role in it, and we're going to do it.

What you do with your character is up to you.

I would also like to note that our group is not Team America, nor are we the Fantastic Four; essentially, we are not a band of wandering god superheroes walking around the earth pwning everything that stands in our way.

Killing an Obyrith is certainly not easy, nor simple in any way, manner or form. An Obyrith is not a random, generic monster one kills with ease in a random dungeon. In fact, and I believe I speak for everyone including Jonathan, if one finds oneself outnumbered by Obyriths (even if this be one versus two) one should be certain that the opponent is strong enough to defeat oneself with relative ease.

After all, remember, Jonathan is not Captain America or Superman or etc.

Darkness. An all encompassing, saturating darkness. Everywhere you look.

Look? Are you sure you haven't gone blind?

Xanriel tried to open his eyes, but found he could not.

Or are they already open?

The voice was only in his head, and he knew it, because he could hear nothing. Even his own thoughts seemed more like feelings than sounds. He simply knew what was being said. Just as he knew he was sweating. He couldn't feel the cold dampness of fear soaking his skin, but he knew it was there. Only his thoughts kept him company.

Are you sure they're your thoughts... brother?

Xanriel would have choked, if he was certain he still had a throat. If he could hear the voice in his head, he was sure it would be undeniably Exriel's.

What do you want, corrupted filth?

What do I want, brother? Why, I want the same as you. I want to be out.

A vague awareness passed over him. A cold shiver was creeping up his spine, though he could not feel it. Xanriel attempted to curl into a ball to cry, but he wasn't sure if that he had limbs to curl, or tears to cry.

More to come later today. I'm going to try to post in character every time someone else does. They might be short like this, or full on conversations.

You think a single Obyrith can stand against multiple Masters and an Archangel?

As for the battle with multiple Obyriths in the Abyss, I said that Jonathan will die. He WON'T be able to handle all seven or whatever number of them at once, period. That's why we need multiple Masters there, since the Obyriths are probably the strongest opponents we'll face, save for multiple FGs.

Remember, the Obyrith war occured during the Elder Days, in which the Masters did not exist yet. If the Masters existed back then, they would have been able to subdue the Obyriths with considerably less difficulty. It still won't be easy, but it'll certainly be easier than what Heaven and Hell had done to subdue those uberdemons.

What made you think I included Xanriel and Sirenes in my "group"? I even specifically stated that the group only contains Jonathan, Catyrael, and maybe a couple of other players. I won't interfere with what you've planned.

I've got an idea. Let's just send Jonathan. He can go in, die, become even more godly, then kill them all himself. Then we'll go kill Malcom, then we'll kick Void in the pants and call it a day.

Thanks Cap'n

Excuse my over reaction

I think that if do not proceed about the battle with tactics and caution, we risk significant casualties, and the term "significant casualties" is not an euphemism; it means several people will die. Further, to reiterate, Catyrael would never risk open warfare against those Demons without methodical preparation; it won't be "Captain America, leading Team America, receives word of an Obyrith villain; Team America promptly heads over to the crisis scene, but the rest of the team is not even needed, because Captain America uses an uber-attack which instantly pwns the Obyrith". Rather, he will return to Heaven where a council will be held to determine an appropriate response to the grave situation.

With the presence of multiple Masters, it is us whom stand a chance of killing them; it has never been a question of them standing a chance against our group or not.

Remember, Heaven, Hell and the Middle Plane could have lost the war against the Obyriths; with the Masters, the task remains extremely difficult.

[OOC] -twiddles her thumbs- By chance, will there be any roleplaying in this roleplay thread today? = ) Or should I just come up with something and run away with it? By now I'm sure you guys notice that arguing gets us nowhere. So, rather than trying to convince someone to do things a certain way, how about you cleverly find a way to manipulate the circumstances to turn out the way you would like them to?  :D
