His luminous body rose up into the sky, without need for flapping, for he was lighter than air, lighter even, he was a ray of light, a streak of warmth falling through the window, piercing the dark. He was everything darkness wasn't. He embodied light, body and soul. He had duties to the world, as light, to provide them with energy, with power, with life. Rising higher still into the air, he began to glow brighter and brighter, when a shout reached his ears, snapping his mind back to the battle at hand.
He was not light, he was it's Master. He had a more important duty than that of his element, a duty to protect Sirenes. As the daughter of an Angel, and more importantly, having a key role in the future of all Nymph's, she was above the lives of others in his eyes, and he planned to keep her alive. Though he no longer wished to kill, it would be necessary to keep her safe. It was light's job to save the world and provide for it, it was his job to make it perfect for her.
He drew up his sword and his shield, and without even calling them, the motes came. The Rays of Light saw him now as one of their own, and Ray's of Light traveled in packs. Where he went, a glorious ray of sunshine would follow. He smiled to them, and in return they bounced, their energy empowering him. He stared at the sword in his hand, it was the relic of light, but it would not be enough, he needed a weapon more suited to his style, he was more than the Master of Light, more than a Guardian Angel, and he needed something new. Just as his brother's cells had so long ago, the Ray's of Light instinctively knew what to do. Just as the Jade Staff had once become when influenced by his power, the Morning Glory slowly shifted and reformed, the blade melting into liquid metal, even as the hilt and cross-guard extended and reformed, becoming a thick metal shaft. At the end of the shaft, the liquid metal reformed into the head of a halberd, a gleaming white metal in the shape of angel wings. As he drew in the power of the Rays of Light, he felt himself evolving, feeding off the energy of the Master of Light. Again he felt as though his job as an Angel would never be the same again, as his wings curled in around his body, molting all of their feathers. He had only seen this once before, and he was more excited than anyone could imagine.
OOC: and scene! Thrilling conclusion to his transformation to come.
