In Elements RPG 2.0 you mentioned a storyline about Shards. Maybe that's what the sequel is about?

But then, I see little room for character development. The Masters would have already reached their peak after the False Overgod fight.

Also, today I will be making an InC post that marks a significant step in Jonathan's character development. After that, he will no longer have all the arrogance and hubris he had shown before.

He is referring to the development of the Masters into a greater form; note, however, that they will not be gods, which would be utterly and abjectedly pointless.

I thought Purity said that the Masters, even at their pinnacle strength, are laughably weak compared to whatever enemies they might face. That made me wonder if we'll fight other gods of approximately the same power level as Zanzarino. Maybe Zanz is a "major god", and there are other, rogue "minor gods" that are outside his control or something.

I highly doubt that Jonathan can develop into anything beyond the One Winged Devil stage.
