Editing in progress.
Under the dense canopy of the Dead Marsh, three battles were currently taking place: Kain, son of Incarnate, versus Noxus, the Warlock of Pestilence; Nyxia, the Black Nymph, versus Atropos, the Grim Seamstress; and Jonathan, the Master of Darkness, versus Mavros, the Black Death.
"Blood Veil!" Kain cried. Bringing his wings downward in a powerful fanning motion, Kain sent forth a great burst of crimson steam and mist. As if with a mind of its own, the blood mist quickly expanded, its scarlet tendrils creeping outwards and wrapping themselves around several False Vampires. They screamed in agony, as dozens of blood-red vampire bats formed out of the mist itself and slaked their thirsts by draining the life force of their enemies. Just in a few minutes, five of the eight False Vampires in Noxus's group were nothing but empty husks.
"Not bad, young Vampire," Noxus said with a malignant chuckle. The gaunt undead warlock did not flinch when he saw the red mist creeping toward him. "A mist of blood, eh? Then I shall show thee a mist of my own." Noxus began to chant a guttural and discordant incantation, and the eye sockets of the skull on top of his staff abruptly lit up with indigo flames. "Aer Toxicum!" He hissed.
A ghastly, bone-chilling moan emanated from the jaws of the skull. The jaws opened, wider than what normal human jaws were able to, and with a hissing sound a sick, corrupt purple gas began to seep out. The gas formed a circular barrier around Noxus, preventing the blood mist from touching him; then the gas began to spread out. The two mists, red and purple, did not seem to mix; instead they tore and ripped at each other, both trying to gain dominance over the air.
Kain sneered. "Old geezer, you think you can match the strength of the son of Incarnate?" He furrowed his eyebrows, and the red mist surged forward violently, nearly smothering the purple toxic gas. But the two remaining False Vampires closed their eyes, and joined their own powers with Noxus; the purple mist held on, and eventually began to push back.
Suddenly, the purple toxic gas began to condense and coalesce. Dozens of roughly spherical shapes formed in the virulent haze, their edges gradually becoming more and more defined. They appeared to be sickly purple-blue spheres, about the same size as Kain's vampire bats, with hundreds of short little stalks covering their surfaces. They were Retroviruses, and more of them were being formed out of the pestilent mist every second. "Do not underestimate our powers, child," Noxus said coldly.
Kain's right eyebrow twitched in irritation. "Wizened old fool!" He spat. With a focus of his will, hundreds of scarlet vampire bats materialized out of his blood mist, matching the numbers of the opposing Retroviruses. With a defiant snarl and a wave of his hands, Kain's vampire bats rushed forward, tearing into Noxus's swarm of Retroviruses.
Meanwhile, another battle was taking place. Swift as a shadow, Nyxia was darting from place to place, slicing down False Vampires before they even had a chance to react. As her comrades fell one by one, the leading False Vampiress, Atropos, showed no hint of sorrow, remorse, or anger; she only seemed annoyed that her underlings were not competent enough to defend themselves.
After five of the eight False Vampires were cut down by Nyxia's deadly blade, a sixth False Vampire finally proved to be fast enough to parry Nyxia's attack to his heart. It was at that precise moment Atropos chose to attack, her twin rapiers rushing forward like the tails of two venomous scorpions. But much to her surprise, the twin rapiers could not penetrate Nyxia's black wings; it felt like beating thick rubber with a wooden club. In the instant Atropos faltered, Nyxia spread her wings wide, swatting the False Vampiress away like a fly with one powerful wing stroke; in the next moment, she buried her dagger in the heart of the False Vampire who initially parried her strike.
OK, it's 11 PM, and I can't write anything more... But I'll try to finish this tomorrow so Helios can finally post.
