OOC:
Izekiel, Master of Gravity
Lol, more Bible references? Yeah, Bible names are cool.
InC:
Mordekai:"Where'd I learn it? Um... training, I guess..."
When did
I learn how to manipulate the center of gravity? Mordekai thought back to the very beginnings of his training.
"No, wait!" Mordekai said. "It wasn't training! I learned it... way back on the day I was given my Pyrospear. My grandfather gave it to me. I have no idea how old he is; Fire Eaters age strangely. He may be 80 and he may be 800... once we hit 20 we stop growing, anyways, and our bodies remain strong until the fire within us burns out...
But I regress. He showed me how to find the center of gravity in everything, and how to manipulate the forces of gravity to your will. He showed me how to do that... it was the first gravity spell I learned. It's really tough, though. I can't do anything gigantic... yet. Why do you ask?"
Zanthos:Zanthos sprang into action immediately. He knew that he would have to heal later; for now, he had to get them to safety.
Good thing I have just the creature to do that. Tapping into the great expanse of nature around him, Zanthos found what he was looking for.
Thespis! Zanthos had an Azif Featherider given to him from a while ago; the Featherider would follow him wherever he went.
Thespis, come to me!Within a few minutes, the Featherider named Thespis appeared in front of Zanthos. It was slightly smaller than a young dragon, with the body of a powerful beast and the head of a bird of prey. Thespis landed on four talons, cawing gutturally.
Zanthos picked up Heimdall, who was surprisingly light, and placed him in Thespis's saddle. He then dumped MaX unceremoniously on top of Heimdall; Thespis grunted with exertion.
Not enough room left. I'll just have to see if this still works. Zanthos plucked a leaf off of the ground.
Any life form can be mutated. This is going to be my second time mutating something. Zanthos concentrated within the feeble and fading life he felt within the leaf.
Stronger, larger. A Cockatrice will do. His fingers curled, forming a floating green ball of energy that rippled through the leaf. Zanthos dropped the leaf; it was getting heavy. Then, it swelled, its surface became amorphous, and it exploded in a flash of green light.
Zanthos closed his eyes; when he reopened them, a ferocious, green and red Cockatrice stood before him.
Nice, thought Zanthos.
I'm improving. Then, he noticed the Cockatrice's wings.
He has four wings. I need to work on my accuracy. Zanthos hopped onto the Cockatrice and flew back to Umbrios, the Featherider flapping behind him.
We all need to sharpen up, he thought with amusement, noting how Heimdall and MaX were both knocked out.
