"Sekhor, Master of Time, Sword Dancer," The Master's were all but forgotten, but it was still Sekhor's title, and he was not above using his title to impress others, it always helps to find ways around a fight that need not be fought, "But you can just call me Sekhor." He chuckled, sitting down on a large slab of cool rock, his scorn, scarred feet out to the fire.

Master of Time. Hmm...

"What exactly do you mean by Master of Time, Sekhor?" I could swear that I've heard that somewhere before. Or something. I really need to get some sleep. Mordekai poked the embers of the fire, lifting one up and absorbing a bit of fire energy into his body before he placed it back down.

"Oh, it's just a fancy way of saying I've got too much power for a slacker like me," He shrugs, picking up a passing bug, a sand centipede, and creating a time bubble around it, speeding it's time as it wriggles, trying to break free, but moving about one hundred times faster than a bug should reasonably be able to move, before dying, it's exoskeleton cracking and crumbling to dust, "The gods seem to see fit to curse me with control over the flows of time."

He watches as Mordekai 'eats' an ember, "So, you're a fire eater then?"

Mordekai watches with interest as Sekhor idly kills a caterpillar. By... aging it?

I don't think he's telling me everything about this Master of Time business.

Mordekai was actually quite famished; he decides to suck the ember dry of fire. Mordekai sighs with content as streams of flaming energy rush into his body, rejuvenating and reviving him. "GRAVITON FireMASTER, mind you," he explains to Sekhor. "We're the fiercest fighters in the world, fighting with both the fury of fire and the determination and relentlessness of Gravity. But one day, when peace is restored... I guess we'll do something else." But peace will never restore. I know that. Our world is defined by warfare.

Mordekai holds the now-useless shell of an ember in the palm of his hand. Then, he pushes its extremities back down to its center of gravity, crushing it into a small, highly condensed sphere about the size of a mote of dust. With a flick, he tosses the mote back into the fire; a plume of sparks rose up into the sky and the fire redoubles in strength. "Aah, that's better." You're not the only one with powers.

"My apologies. I've never been too good with your military system, and I practically grew up around..." Sekhor cut his sentence short. He had only ever seen one other man with a strong enough control of gravity to create gravity wells in the palm of his hand. Izekiel, Master of Gravity, the man who had created the gravity basin to protect his people.
"That's uh... quite a trick you've got there. Where'd you learn it?"

From hearing nothing to the loudest thunderclap he's ever heard, Zanthos would understand if his natural instincts wanted to jump, run and hide. In his healing trance, however, he only saw the events with detachment.

First, was the crackling of energy from Heimdall flashing towards the demon. Then the pink geometrix siphoned the electric bolt and concentrated the energy into maX's eyes like sunlight through a magnifying lens. In the next instance, a flash of bright white light exploded from the general area of the boulder. What happened next felt like a nightmare you couldn't wake up from.

He knew there was a big explosion, he just couldn't remember hearing it. It felt like a silent scream of an unborn child as Heimdall fell back like a felled tree cut with the sharpest ax. Then, it seemed like the hottest hailstorm was upon them. Zanthos realized it was only the debris from the boulder and dared to look in maX's direction. THe beast was gone, but lying on the ground was a crumpled mass with brown clothing. "Maaax!" Zanthos leapt towards his elven brother and looked for signs of life.

OOC: Okay, so Zanthos now has 2 unconscious masters in his hands. Icy, I'll let you finish this bit.

OOC:

Quote
Izekiel, Master of Gravity
Lol, more Bible references? Yeah, Bible names are cool.

InC:

Mordekai:

"Where'd I learn it? Um... training, I guess..." When did I learn how to manipulate the center of gravity? Mordekai thought back to the very beginnings of his training.

"No, wait!" Mordekai said. "It wasn't training! I learned it... way back on the day I was given my Pyrospear. My grandfather gave it to me. I have no idea how old he is; Fire Eaters age strangely. He may be 80 and he may be 800... once we hit 20 we stop growing, anyways, and our bodies remain strong until the fire within us burns out...

But I regress. He showed me how to find the center of gravity in everything, and how to manipulate the forces of gravity to your will. He showed me how to do that... it was the first gravity spell I learned. It's really tough, though. I can't do anything gigantic... yet. Why do you ask?"

Zanthos:

Zanthos sprang into action immediately. He knew that he would have to heal later; for now, he had to get them to safety. Good thing I have just the creature to do that. Tapping into the great expanse of nature around him, Zanthos found what he was looking for. Thespis! Zanthos had an Azif Featherider given to him from a while ago; the Featherider would follow him wherever he went. Thespis, come to me!

Within a few minutes, the Featherider named Thespis appeared in front of Zanthos. It was slightly smaller than a young dragon, with the body of a powerful beast and the head of a bird of prey. Thespis landed on four talons, cawing gutturally.

Zanthos picked up Heimdall, who was surprisingly light, and placed him in Thespis's saddle. He then dumped MaX unceremoniously on top of Heimdall; Thespis grunted with exertion. Not enough room left. I'll just have to see if this still works. Zanthos plucked a leaf off of the ground. Any life form can be mutated. This is going to be my second time mutating something. Zanthos concentrated within the feeble and fading life he felt within the leaf. Stronger, larger. A Cockatrice will do. His fingers curled, forming a floating green ball of energy that rippled through the leaf. Zanthos dropped the leaf; it was getting heavy. Then, it swelled, its surface became amorphous, and it exploded in a flash of green light.

Zanthos closed his eyes; when he reopened them, a ferocious, green and red Cockatrice stood before him. Nice, thought Zanthos. I'm improving. Then, he noticed the Cockatrice's wings. He has four wings. I need to work on my accuracy. Zanthos hopped onto the Cockatrice and flew back to Umbrios, the Featherider flapping behind him. We all need to sharpen up, he thought with amusement, noting how Heimdall and MaX were both knocked out.

[OOC]
It felt like a silent scream of an unborn child...
I'm both amazed and disturbed by that.

[INC]
Sireness returns Xanriel's kiss with a quick peck to his lips. "You know, I completely forgot that I was hungry, but now that you mention it, I'm starving." Sighing, she get's back up, holding out a hand to help him up and pulling him to his feet. She twines her fingers between his and starts to lead him to the dining hall. "I never did like the dead marshes. It's just as bad as the entropic shore in it's own way. I just hope we won't have to be there too long."

OOC: Yes, it is meant to be disturbing. But then, I also wanted to reference the baby being born as Heimdall is becoming/born into his master status.

He then dumped MaX unceremoniously on top of Heimdall
OOC: I'm liking Zanthos more and more after each post.   :P

InC:

Xanriel:

Xanriel nodded solemnly. "I know how you feel. I'm worried about being that close to death again, all that corruption... It's disgusting. On top of that, I hear they have ghosts there of those killed unjustly. I can't imagine how many i've sent there... back when I was Justice, I did as I was told. I don't believe that everyone who died under my staff felt it was Just." Xanriel looked solemnly, clenching his empty hand into a tight fist, ashamed of the things he had once done, the sadness he had caused people.

Sekhor:

His grandfather? Sekhor had seen far too many old ghosts today, and he was having quite enough of it.
"It's nothing, I just haven't seen anything like it in hundreds of years. A friend of mi-- of my father's, Izekiel, he could do it. He was well known for it." Sekhor pondered the aging patterns of the graviton fire eaters. On hind sight, he had known one or two fire masters back in the old days. "I wonder if any of them are still alive..." Sekhor mumbled to himself, shaking his head before smiling a toothy grin to Mordekai, "So then, how old are you?"

@Optimalist: Erm... I think Zanthos's love interest would be a Green Nymph. Sorry :P

Shall we get started with the Death arc?

Jonathan is going to be the leader of the army. Where would the rest of the party be? Alongside Jonathan, or leading other sections of the army?

Meanwhile, I'll do more Faustus scenes. Any ways Faustus can meet up with Sekhor and Mordekai?
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

OOC: Only if he some how makes it between them and the path to the gravity basin, or you end up in the gravity basin some how. Sekhor's going to stick around Mordekai until he figures out what to make of the ghosts of his friends coming back, so you'd need to somehow cross paths with them, they've got no reason to go back into the deserts.

What ever happened to Zanthos anyway? I say if he doesn't come back soon, there's no reason why MaX can't make him gay/bi or so on.

Xanriel will be along side Sirenes wherever she goes, and he refuses to kill anyone. Bringing the undead back to life maybe, or disabling them, but he won't kill them.
