"Don't worry, it will be over soon enough." Xanriel smiles, giving Sirenes a peck on the cheek. As he stands straight, smiling, the large black wings of Astariel slams full force into him, followed by the other three fallen angels, sending him flying off the back of the dragon and tumbling through the skies.
Careening through the air, his mind cleared inches from the ground as his wings spread. Carrying himself along the ground and into a loop. At least, it should have, but just as his wings opened, two of the dark angels crashed into him, feet first, pinning him to the ground, whilst the third landed near his hand, kicking his shield away, then his sword. Astariel walked up languidly, a satisfied look on her face.
"Good job girls. Rael, Hariel, pick this worthless guardian up." Grabbed by his arms, one wing held by the third, unnamed angel, Xanriel was lifted from the ground, as Astariel walked up to him, almost purring with elation, "Hello Xanriel, long time no see."
"Likewise Astariel, you're looking terrible as always." His attitude was met with a back hand that split his lip, some blood from what he could now tell was a broken nose sprayed onto the wings of Hariel, who in turn slapped his face the other way.
"Be gentle with him dear. He's my play thing," Astarial faux-scolded Hariel as she walked up to Xanriel, stroking his face tenderly, "Isn't that right my love?"
Xanriel struggled to break free, flapping his one free wing madly, but it was no use, he was strong, but not as strong as three angels together.
"Screw you Astariel." Xanriel glared, turning his head down to his sword."
"Ha! You'd like that, wouldn't you Xanny?" She giggles, sliding her hand down his chest, just as her hand was inches above his groin, she smirked, pulling her hand back up and slapping him again, hard, "No, I think not. I don't do lighters these days."
Anger flared in Xanriel. He was outraged. Astariel had always been free spirited, but she was acting like a common whore, and did not want to be involved. In response to his anger, the motes of light protecting Sirenes broke up, half of them hurtling across the battle field and running full force into the three angels holding Xanriel, knocking them to the ground. Astariel looked shocked, and went to draw her sword. Xanriel gave a swift kick to her sword hand, knocking her back and breaking her grip, then dipped down to scoop up his own great sword. In control again, he summoned his shield do his off hand. Stepping over his would be captors, his rays of light holding them down, he leveled his sword to Astariel, who had now drawn her's as well.
"Why Astariel, all I want to know is why," Xanriel did not wish to kill her, but she posed a threat to his friends and his ward, "What made you turn your back on my father and join the ranks of the dead?" Astariel laughed in defiance, lunging at him with her sword. He met her blade with his, deflecting it and using a shield bash to knock her back.
"You want to know why Xanny? You of all people! I watched you work all those years, I know how much you loved your job, loved the killing. It wasn't fair to the rest of us, those of us who weren't Judge's had to sit back and let you have all the fun," She cackled madly, licking some of Xanriel's blood off her hand, "Well, now we get to do all the killing we want."
"You think I enjoyed my job? It was a duty, nothing more. I never once took pleasure in killing." Xanriel lept at Astariel, using his wings to add some velocity to his strike, but just as he had, she deflected the blow with her blade, and kicked him square in the chest, knocking him back.
"Oh please, I know you better than you know yourself lover! I saw the look in your eyes as you slew countless hundreds. The men, women and children of that death village that entered your father's lands, that group of fire demons that tried to burn down the forests of life. You enjoyed every second of it, don't lie!" Spreading her wings, Astariel tackled Xanriel, who spread his wings as well, carrying there fight to the skies.
