Editing in progress. This post will show Jonathan testing his new powers by sparring with Nyxia. This is probably the first time you see her in action.
"Well, what do you think?" Jonathan asked Nyxia after showing her the strange memories.
"Sorry, but I have no idea..." Nyxia frowned, a worried expression on her face. "What is this 'Void'? The Elemental Masters all sacrificed their lives to seal it away... And now that they've returned, does that mean this 'Void' is back?"
Jonathan took Nyxia's hand in his, gently feeling the softness of her skin. "We'll just wait and see," he said. "It'll be all right, I promise."
He was about to get up, when he felt a tug on his consciousness. Me and Max are off, said Heimdall telepathically. We'll be back in a couple of hours.
Jonathan gazed out through the window. The perpetually eclipsed sun hung in the eastern sky, which meant that it was already morning; not that it made any difference in the Kingdom of Darkness, Jonathan thought. The only things that distinguished day and night in the land of Darkness was the eclipsed sun and the moon, and sometimes they appeared to be all but identical. "We should get up," he said.
"So what do you want to do today?" Nyxia asked. "Go to Incarnate and see if he has any plans for the invasion yet?"
"Nah," Jonathan shook his head. He flexed his fingers slowly, gathering sparks of dark energy then letting them dissipate. "I want to test out my powers first. I wonder if I gained any new abilities after Incarnate gave that third eye to me." Turning to face Nyxia, Jonathan grinned. "Wanna spar?"
"Come on, you always win," Nyxia pouted. "But I haven't had a real fight for a long time now, so I guess a bit of practice isn't going to do any harm." She rose gracefully from the bed, and materialized a black dress on herself. "Let's go have breakfast first."
This time, Jonathan was not sparring in the Colosseum; he was fighting in his personal training arena. Obsidian Pillars surrounded the place, bathing the room in energies of Darkness. Spreading his arms out, Jonathan's black robe shifted. It morphed into black armor decorated with scarlet, and it emanated a formidable dark power. But this time, the armor was different. The arcane symbols on its obsidian surface was more complex; the black armor plate seemed darker, and the crimson engravings seemed redder. On the center of the armor's chest was an insignia in the shape of the Eye of Darkness. Jonathan spread his black wings, and unsheathed his blade.
Mirroring Jonathan's motion, Nyxia also held out her arm. Her dress began to change, the smooth dark silken fabric transforming into black leather. Within moments the dress was gone, replaced by a tight, formfitting black leather garment that showed her feminine curves and allowed her unobstructed movements. She radiated an aura of deadly grace, capable of being fast and dangerous and utterly lethal when she needed to.
I'll leave it like this for now... Not gonna finish today.
