{OOC} But Exriel isn't a "person". He's more like another personality, isn't he? The anti- part of Xanriel that he used to draw on for power when he didn't believe that he was powerful enough on his own.

But Exriel could put his consciousness into some buffed-up Malignant Cell variant just a second hefore he died.

And Chaos Lord's spell, Twisted Cosmos, did create a body: at first Xanriel used that body, but then Xanriel took over his own body and the clone-body went to Exriel.

Purity, please allow me to use Exriel to create Necrosis. I think that it'll add a new interesting character into the story.

Editing in progress.

Johann cackled maniacally as he attacked Jonathan in a frenzy, his face twisted in unrecognizable insanity. Blade dripping with venom and pestilence, he slashed and stabbed at his double in sadistic glee, taking pleasure in the act of hurting others. Jonathan was almost chilled to the bone as he watched his doppelganger attack himself. What kind of vile abomination had Chaos Lord created?

Cold and ruthless, Jonathan never hesitated to take a life. When taking the offensive, his first attack was always a vicious slash with the intent to kill. But merciless as he was, Jonathan never enjoyed the act of murder; he killed only out of necessity. Johann, however, was the polar opposite: he enjoyed the simple act of hurting and killing others. He was a sadist in nature.

If such a madman was to be released into the world... Jonathan shuddered at the very thought. That was the reason why he must destroy Johann here.

I'll come back and finish this after dinner.

Never mind. I think I won't have time to do this today. Oh well, to be continued tomorrow.

Sorry, again I half to agree with the Sirenes. The idea sounds cool, but Exriel never really existed, the entire fight existed solely in the mind of Xanriel.

It'd be fine of course if you still wanted to use Necrosis, but maybe instead of having the two merge, have Chaos Lord simply put that broken section of Xanriel's mind inside Johann's, combining them on that level instead of creating a physical form of a non-existant person, that'd be kinda cool, essentially giving Exriel a body, instead of him being hampered by Xanriel's consciousness.

But Exriel had control of the Malignant Cells. Couldn't he have made a body for himself?

And as I said, the spell Twisted Cosmos is like PU, it creates clone bodies. And you didn't really specify that the battle was fought purely in the mind. Maybe that Xanriel thought it was a mental battle, but it actually really happened in the real world? :P

The point is, Johann and Exriel are both evil. I want them to try to devour each other. And the product of their evilness is Necrosis.

I might not have specified that, but I wanted it to signify that, and that's how I saw it

as for the MCs, well, Xanriel technically had all the control over them, they just listened to him. Exriel and Xanriel, when you get right down to it, are the same person, just Xanriel was kinda crazy.

Heimdall almost blacked out as Loki let loose one of the strongest mental blows he had ever encountered in his entire psionic experience. He had no time to think; Loki was already preparing for another blow. Heimdall did not even notice that his body was settling at the bottom of the ocean floor; it was his mind that had to fight now. Heimdall skittered to and fro blindly, thankfully evading all of Loki's attacks. When he finally had time to gather his senses, he concentrated all his mind onto a tiny point. I can't spread myself out, thought Heimdall. Loki's mental attack is just as strong, if not stronger, than the most powerful blow I can muster. The great roiling mass that was Loki's mind loomed over Heimdall's.

You've grown weak, called out Loki.

Heimdall compressed his mind together even more - a mere speck besides Loki's consciousness. Not weak, said Heimdall. Just inexperienced.

All the better, said Loki, and, without a pause, his gargantuan mental mass was thrown at Heimdall. At the same time, Heimdall shot his mind forth, sending his tiny speck shooting like a supersonic arrow straight through the center of Loki's. Loki screamed in pain as Heimdall opened his eyes, taking back control of his physical form. He simultaneously continued the mental assault, cutting through and around Loki's unwieldy mind with his nimble mind, while getting up. He ran towards Loki and leapt upwards, one knee poised to stab into the Ulitharid's stomach, when Loki raised both arms and Heimdall felt his body careening backwards.

Loki's eyes opened. "Never prepared, never ready," he sneered. Then, he tapped once more into his psychokinetic powers, flinging Heimdall like a rag doll onto the ocean floor. Bruised, Heimdall got to his feet and drove Loki away from his body just as Loki pounded Heimdall with another mental attack. Heimdall winced in pain. He's right, thought Heimdall. I have to be constantly aware when I'm fighting an enemy like- instinct took over as Heimdall narrowly blocked a blade swipe from Loki, the blade just touching his nose and drawing blood.

"Let's finish this quick," Loki said, his eyes gleaming like never before. Heimdall used his telekinesis to forcefully push the water in front of him down Loki's throat; his eyes bulged as he stumbled backwards, coughing. He cursed loudly, attempting to do the same to Heimdall, but Heimdall had already protected it. As Loki charged forward, Heimdall ducked and stepped on Loki's exposed foot, and a shriek of pain emanated from Loki. He desperately stabbed at Heimdall's mind, but Heimdall absorbed the blow and countered with a stab of his own, driving Loki back. Heimdall continued the assault, slicing one blade upwards and cutting into Loki's chin. Loki flailed, kicking at Heimdall, but Heimdall spun around, blades flashing, and dodged the blow, slicing with a wide arc and decapitating Loki.

Loki's head spurted blue blood as it floated off into the distance. However, as Heimdall stood panting, the corpse did not fall down; rather, it remained standing. All of a sudden, the skin color changed from a dark blue to a disturbed purple. The blades curved and twisted, resulting in two menacing chitinous weapons. A strange chaotic material emanated from everywhere and nowhere, gathering and forming into the shape of a Ulitharid head. In a flash, Loki was back - but it was no longer Loki.

"What you killed was a body," said the new Ulitharid to Heimdall. "A physical form. The body cannot survive without the mind, but the mind can survive without the body, although not for long. Combining mind and body with the power of the Chaos Gate... it has made me more powerful than you will ever imagine." The new Ulitharid looked at himself, then at his new blades. "Interesting..."

"What did you do to Loki?" cried Heimdall.

"I AM Loki," said the Ulitharid, smiling. And Heimdall knew that the fight was far from over.

Exriel symbolized the corruption inside Xanriel, right? But now Xanriel is the Master of Light, so he no longer has that corruption inside himself. Xanriel assumes that the corruption has been completely purified and destroyed; but it could be that the corruption is simply removed from Xanriel. You didn't specify what Miracle did when he purified Xanriel; maybe he simply removed that corruption.

Editing in progress.

Jonathan gritted his teeth as he blocked a blow from Johann. Jonathan's body was surrounded by a thick, impenetrable aura of darkness. This aura was different from his Dark Shroud ability, which hides his presence; this aura was an armor, to protect Jonathan from Johann's pestilent energies. Jonathan could not afford to let even an iota of Johann's power touch him, because one as powerful as Johann could bring death with a single touch.

"Afrait to let my attacks touch you, eh?" Johann cackled maniacally as he let loose another bolt of necromantic energy. Swerving to the side, Jonathan launched an energy bolt of his own, but Johann dodged it in a motion that was identical to Jonathan's. His and his doppelganger's understandings of each other's fighting styles were too thorough, and neither of them had succeeded in landing a blow onto his opponent.

Realizing that none of his conventional attacks would work on Jonathan, Johann used an ability that was unique to a Death elemental: necromancy. With one swift motion Johann stuck his bone blade Arsenic into the ground beneath him, and unleashed a wave of deathly power into the soil. The ground trembled, atrophied and cracked; spikes of sickly gray bone protruded out from the earth. Jonathan's brows furrowed, as he saw his double creating a Boneyard out of nothing.

"Let's see how you deal with this," Johann sneered as he pulled Arsenic out of the earth. The moment his blade left the soil, the ground started to shake once more. Then, hands made of bone began to dig themselves out of the dirt. Within moments, more than two dozens of undead skeletons pulled themselves out of the earth, their eyeless sockets glowing with eerie indigo phosphorescence.

Letting out ghastly moans, the skeletons dashed at Jonathan, their fleshless hands glowing with purple energy. One of them grabbed at Jonathan, but he dodged; Jonathan then crushed the skeleton's rib cage to bits with a single blow. But Jonathan's special power, Drain Life, did not help him there; there was no blood to absorb in the skeleton's lifeless body.

Unable to survive Jonathan's blow, that one skeleton crumbled to pieces. But just as the skeleton's broken body hit the ground, two more skeletal hands protruded from the earth where the first had fallen. In an instant, two skeletons dug themselves out of the dirt, purple necromantic energies emanating from their bodies. Jonathan struck out at the two new skeletons with a vicious cleave, breaking them apart in one blow; but as they fell and returned to the earth, four more skeletons then appeared.

Cursing under his breath, Jonathan lashed out at the two dozens of skeletons, unleashing a massive wave of darkness. The dark energies engulfed the skeletons, breaking them apart. But as the dark wave dissipated, Jonathan's eyes widened at the four dozens of skeletons that were newly created before him. Then he glanced at Johann, and was shocked to see layers upon thick layers of spiked bones, forming an impenetrable Bone Wall.

Johann was creating an army of undead, and all Jonathan had been doing was making that army even stronger. He must do something quick, else he would soon be overwhelmed...

Done.

So yeah, Johann basically glitched Boneyard so that one dead Skeleton generates two new Skeletons. And Jonathan just triggered an equivalent of Rain of Fire + Fireflies + Bone Wall combo.

The corruption is just what Xanriel calls his control over death magics. He still has that control, he just refuses to lose it. Miracle didn't expel that corruption. As for Exriel, Exriel symbolizes his inner turmoil each time he gives in and uses the power of death. Xanriel defeated Exriel for now, but in a sense he still exists in Xanriel's mind, because the temptation to use that power will always be there.

The new Loki raised an arm, and Heimdall instinctively shielded his mind. However, no mental assault came, and Heimdall was curious as to what Loki was doing. Then, Heimdall's throat constricted, and he knew that Loki was trying to choke him. Heimdall's eyes bulged out as he battered away at Loki's consciousness that was controlling his body, but Loki's grip was fierce. Heimdall did not have much breath left, so with all the energy he could muster, he propelled himself to the surface of the water. Loki did not expect this and abruptly released Heimdall's throat as he broke to the surface, gasping for air.

Heimdall dove and descended into the water once more, but he did not see Loki anywhere. Where could he have gone? thought Heimdall, searching behind every piece of coral. Loki had disappeared. Heimdall expanded his mind outwards, attempting to find conscious life forms. The instant he let his mental barrier fall in order to search for Loki, a mental attack clearly aimed to kill hit him from behind. As before, he almost blacked out; he did not feel pain, only death, death everywhere, as his mind scattered.

He saw with bleary eyes a slim form rise up from below the sand. It was Loki, who was hiding beneath the ocean floor the entire time. "Never leave your mind undefended," said Loki as Heimdall struggled against unconsciousness. Loki raised an elbow blade. "That error has just cost you your life," he said, his elbow blade descending in an arc for Heimdall's throat.

The blade stopped inches from Heimdall's neck, encountering a telekinetic wall. Heimdall leapt to his feet and sliced left; the blow was blocked. He raised a knee, but the blade glanced off to one side. He attempted a side kick, but it was too slow; Loki snaked to one side and launched four quick mental blows. They were blocked, but Heimdall was dazed and stepped back, attempting to gain his bearings.

"You are weak, Heimdall," sneered the Ulitharid. "You have yet to unlock the true potential of the mind. Do you know how to break through even the most powerful mental armor? Attack faster than thought itself? Control time with your mind?" Loki continued speaking, even as Heimdall battered at his mental armor in vain.

"Let me show you something," continued Loki. "Your mind is weak... I wonder if I can fool it..." Loki closed his eyes, and Heimdall took advantage of the situation. He whirled around and thrust his elbow blade backwards, stabbing deep into Loki's chest...

Only to have Loki disappear and reappear, several feet in front of Heimdall. "So close," he goaded. Heimdall shot a concentrated blast of water at the figure, but it too disappeared and reappeared, alighting silently behind Heimdall. Loki started laughing maniacally. "You'll never catch me, Heimdall! You'll never see!" And Heimdall was distraught with confusion. I... I am going insane. I... need to concentrate, I... I...

I am going to die here.

Come on. Xanriel is the Master of Light now. Don't tell me he still has Death magic within himself?!

Please. I'm asking you a favor. Let me use Exriel the way I wanted to. You already agreed that you'd let me merge Exriel and Johann into Necrosis, so that means you won't need Exriel again in the future, right? Please don't tell me you intend for Xanriel to fall AGAIN.

@Icy: I'm probably gonna finish my fight today.
