OOC: It's fine. The mutant took too long, anyways.

InC:

Heimdall understood Bloodshadow's words. The Psionic Wave was only temporary. Heimdall concentrated upon his own mind and found that the barriers restricting him from executing mental attacks was wearing. The moment it wore down completely, Heimdall drew forth the power and flung it straight at the Fallen Elf. Opening his eyes, the Fallen Elf was a smoldering pile of dust.

The adventurers looked at each other. The entire town was destroyed, but the fight was far from over. "How long has it been?" panted Heimdall.

"We still have about 2 hours," replied Ragen.

"Then we will have to hurry," said Heimdall. "To the Chaos Gate."

Just then, Xanriel appeared behind them. He appeared to have healed himself. "Ah, alive, I see," he said strangely, as if he was half-asleep.

"Yes, we are alive," said Zanthos. "Would you mind healing us?"

Xanriel tottered over to him. "Why, yes, yes I do, but here's one for you and you and you!" Xanriel chuckled as he healed the entire party.

Heimdall shook his head, but they had no time to question the sanity of Xanriel. "We need to get to the Chaos Gate!" he said. "We don't have that much time."

The party ran away from the detested city, past the strange Entropic hills where Zanthos and Heimdall had found the Maxwell's Demon a while ago.

Sirenes closed her eyes suddenly. "Water," she said. "The sea is near."

"I sense it too," said Heimdall. "Due south."

The party continued running south, never stopping to rest. Xanriel and Jonathan flew on the currents above the other party members. Dorfl's loping stride and Zantho's quick-footed running kept abreast of Heimdall's fleet running assisted by psychokinesis. Ragen and Sirenes hurried behind the party.

Finally, the party saw water in the distance. "The sea!" cried out Heimdall. But as they approached the shore, Heimdall knew something was wrong.

The water he saw was exactly like the sea he saw in his nightmare - a shifting canvas that was never the same twice. He looked far ahead, seeing five islands. Four of them were very large, and a very small one - it couldn't have been larger than the city that they had just been in - was right in the center of it. The entire place glowed with an eerie pink and purple.

Chaos Gate, thought Heimdall.

"How are we going to get across?" said Zanthos.

Heimdall looked at the water. "Who here knows how to swim?"

"I do," said Sirenes, but no one else.

"Sirenes and I will take to the water. Xanriel and Jonathan can fly. Zanthos, Dorfl, and Ragen..."

Dorfl suddenly shook violently and disappeared in a soothing blue light. When he reappeared, he was larger and the surface of his skin was a translucent watery blue. "I can swim," said Dorfl with a tight smile. "And I can carry Ragen with me."

Meh... Icy, your Zanthos mutation scene wasn't quite what I imagined in my mind... Allow me to change it a bit:

Editing in progress.

The adventurers stared at Zanthos as he contemplated what to do. The only Life creature large enough to carry him across was an Emerald Dragon, and there was surely not enough Life energy around for Zanthos to create one.

Suddenly, he looked straight at the rest of the party. "When the Fallen Elves captured me... they corrupted me. I am part Fallen Elf. And..."

"You want to create a mutant that can carry you across," Xanriel finished for him.

"Yes," replied Zanthos. His eyes were still bright green, but parts of his blond hair had already turned the wilted shade of brown-black.

"Are you sure?" Heimdall gasped. "Mutation is a very, very dangerous thing to do, especially if you're doing it for the first time and only with half-formed powers!"

"I've got to try," said Zanthos. He concentrated the Life energy within him, and formed a ball of bright green light on his palm. Putting the green sphere on the ground, the party watched as the ball of energy transformed into a Cockatrice.

Zanthos closed his eyes, and concentrated. His body glowed with violet energies of chaos, and a few more strands of his blond hair turned deathly brown. When he opened his eyes again, they were no longer green, but a startling shade of deep violet. Concentrating the chaotic energies in his hand, he touched the Cockatrice on the ground.

The Cockatrice shrieked in pain and confusion as its body began to mutate. The violet light engulfed the creature, and its body swelled larger. Its defunct, flightless wings grew larger and wider. Within moments, the Cockatrice transformed into a large predatory bird-beast that could easily carry Zanthos on its back.

"Not bad for your first time," Xanriel grinned.

Zanthos didn't answer, but he closed his eyes again. His eyebrows were furrowed as if in pain, and he put his hand on his forehead as though struggling to contain something within himself. Then he opened his eyes, and they were again the shade of bright green.

Heimdall sighed. "We only have about an hour left, adventurers. Onwards to the Chaos Gate." He looked down at the troubled waters before him and without a backwards glance, he dove in.

Icy, I suggest you replace the last part of your story with the above. After you do that, I'll remove what I wrote above so people won't have to read it twice. I want you to do that because I wanted to show Zanthos struggling to control the Entropy within himself.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

{OOC} LOOOL. You are too much

{INC} Sirenes hesitates, looking on silently as Heimdall is the first to dive into the water. She waited and watched, her mind full of doubts about the water int his chaotic land. The water from the well in the city seemed fine enough when she molded it into her ice attacks, but still...

Heimdall surfaced just a few yards away, glancing back at the rest of the part still on the shore. "No time for dawdling" Was all he said before sinking beneath the surface once more.

A grin came across Sirenes's face. The first time any of them would have seen such a look on her face. She took off at a run across the shore, her boots kicking up sand, then water as she met with the ocean. With more speed than any human, she waded deeper until she was submerged to her waist and with a leap, dove beneath the surface. Before Heimdall knew it, Sirenes was speeding toward, then past him, laughing all the while like a little child. She swims over, below and around him in circles, like a corkscrew. It was like all the events of the day were forgotten as she enjoyed herself for the first time in the Land of Entropy.

Concentrating on his life powers this time, Zanthos's eyes flashed a bright green as he created a thin but strong vine. He looped over the mutant Cockatrices neck and torso, fashioning it like a harness. Zanthos then jumped up onto the mutant, pulling on his makeshift reins. "I agree. We've got to get going." After saying those words, he sent a thought to the mutant's mind. "Fly." The bird responded quickly, almost throwing Zanthos off. It took off into the sky flying clumsily as Zanthos tried to control it. He finally succeeded and the flight smoothed out, the Mutant Cockatice's semi-deformed wings now beating at a stable pace. Relaxing, Zanthos let out a deep sigh as he began to enjoy himself. After all, the flight to the Chaos Islands was a long one, so he should at least try to have some fun.
