Sirenes watches the last elf as it draws a butterfly. Power emanated from the small creature as if from something much larger. The insect takes flight, moving in a wavering pattern until finally it lands. As contact is made, there is a flash and Sirenes a strong pulse passes through her body, one heavy heartbeat amidst a flurry of shallower ones.  At such a small size, she couldn't see the abomination at all

The building to the right explodes, drawing her attention away. She quickly gets to her feet, readying herself for what was to come, but nothing happens. Strange... it seemed the building erupted for no reason at all.

OOC: How do we fight this thing?

InC: Heimdall's eyes flashed with fury as he whipped around, spinning and slashing all around him. He was untouchable - a whirling form that sliced off any potential attack and slashed into the bodies of enemies all around him.

Some of the older Fallen Elves recognized him. "Hey, it's the Ulitharid who tried to destroy our village!" said one of them, sending a Chaos Seed flying at Heimdall. Heimdall ducked and it hit an Elf behind him, who was promptly trapped in a cube of ice. Heimdall dashed forwards and sent a powerful mental blow crushing into the Elf's mind with staggering force.

"Then perhaps you know not to trifle with me," said Heimdall, destroying the Elf's mind completely. The body, not being able to survive without the mind, simply crumpled to the floor.

Heimdall basked in the beautiful act of revenge. More Fallen Elves seemed to recognize him, running away in fear, but others pressed on, slashing at him with wicked blades and chaos seeds shot from staves or wands. Heimdall dodged them all and either smashed their minds to bits or maimed them with his blades. A group of Elves even tried to take over his mind, but Heimdall resisted all attacks and slew them all.

Suddenly, the fighting stopped. Elves scrambled away as Jonathan shot forth a dark energy, grabbing and swallowing a sea of Elves at once. The fight was quelled, for now, and then, a figure stepped onto a rooftop.

The Druid.

Heimdall knew him well. He was considered the leader of the Fallen Elves besides the Chaos Lord himself, and he was played a major part in destroying Heimdall's village. The Druid spoke, but Heimdall did not listen; he was too angry to listen.

He let out a great shout. "You will not survive today, Druid!"

The Druid looked at Heimdall. "Look who we have here," said the Druid, his eyes glinting. "A naughty little Ulitharid, thinking he is more powerful than he actually is. You lost before and you will lose again," said the Druid, laughing. Before Heimdall could retort, the Druid had disappeared from view.

And then Heimdall saw it. Not the butterfly.

"Chaos Effect!" shouted Heimdall. "Everyone move away from the buildings!" Heimdall watched as a tiny Abomination - barely the height of a dwarf - suddenly appeared. With a mere glance, the Abomination had expoded a building. The party watched in fear as they gathered together in a clump. Buildings exploded all around them, and huge chunks of debris fell upon the party. Heimdall quickly expanded the boundaries of his mind outward, forming a perfect semicircle of telekinetic protection all around him. Within seconds, he was buried in a pile of rubble. However, the protective bubble had worked, and Heimdall dug himself out of the rubble relatively unharmed.

He saw Xanriel rise from behind them, his wings flapping maniacally. Ragen was bruised, but he broke out of the rubble not far ahead of them. Dorfl seemed to not be hurt at all, as he was protected by a layer of stone that was his skin. Sirenes, Jonathan, and Zanthos arose bruised and battered, but very much alive.

And yet, the Micro Abomination was still toppling buildings. Heimdall knew that something had to be done. He stared at the Abomination a couple hundred yards up ahead. He dared not delve into its mind to attempt to kill it that way - you were lucky to escape sane from an Abomination's mind. Instead, they would have to attack it physically.

The party ran towards the Abomination as towers toppled all around them. Zanthos strung his bow and fired it, but the Micro Abomination leapt upwards with abnormal strength and dodged it.

This ends now, Heimdall thought, fast approaching the form of the Micro Abomination.

Xanriel cackled, flying over the micro abomination and completely ignoring it as he flew off deeper into the city,
"Run Druid! Run and hide! You can't hide from my brother and I!" Xanriel's wings spread wide, flying quickly around a corner. Swinging around onto the next street, a building began to crumble before him, closing his wings and summoning his halberd, Xanriel dove /through/ the falling building, his blade slicing through any rubble that blocked his path, bursting out the other side he spread his wings and took to the sky, flying up into the air.
"Come Druid! Come and fight what you failed to kill so long ago! AHAHAHAHAAHA!" Xanriel threw his wings up, grinning wickedly. As his wings closed around his body he slowly became top heavy until his body turned over, plummeting to the earth,
"You may have defeated Xanriel, but I am not as weak as him! Fear Exriel, fear the Reaper! AHAHAHA!" Exriel pulled his brothers halberd back and it quickly reformed into a terrible scythe. Bringing it up in a slash, Exriel sliced through a Fallen Elf, spread his wings and flying through the corpse, knocking it to the ground as blood splashed over his chest, face and wings. Landing, Exriel made quick work of the other Fallen, reaping a harvest of corpses, knocking them into a small pile.

"Aflatoxin Plague!" Exriel raised his hands, calling on his brothers power. Much quicker than usual, the bodies erupted into a plague of fully formed Malignant Cells.
"Metastasis Morti!" Exriel shouted, using the spell to mutate his cells. The cells quickly formed together in pairs, creating larger, winged cells, dripping acid. "Fly my pretties, find that pesky Micro Abomination and devour it! Eat it! RIP IT TO SHREDS!" Exriel cackled, flying up into the air on his back, turning over as his collar grew back into a full cloak. Throwing his hand out toward them, another group of Fallen Elves burst into a plague of malignant cells and formed into Flying Leukocytes. Flying up to meet him, they touched his cloak for a moment as he transmitted thoughts through it. The cells formed hideous mouths with sharp teeth, and each cell spoke out,
"Yes Master Exriel, we will find the Fallen Druid, we will do what your brother could not. All hail the new master."
The cells cried out in glee "ALL HAIL EXRIEL!"

Oh no... Xanriel was completely taken over by Exriel! We're doomed!!!!!!!!11!1!11!1

Where is Zanthos in this? I really wish that he's captured and half-converted into a Fallen Elf. Then we'd have this nice self-VS-self battle in Chaos Gate.

And guys, Butterfly Effect didn't even really come out yet, and the Druid was already using it? Wow, that's some druid...

Shall I kill the Micro Abomination and let Exriel concentrate on the Druid?

Buildings exploded, throwing rubble and chunks of stone all over. She guarded her head with her arms and did her best to protect herself, but it was like trying to dodge rain. Before she knew it, she was covered in cuts a bruises. She didn't lower her guard until every building near her was destroyed. Looking on, she watched her allies attack something she could only sense, but not see.

Suddenly there was a swarm of tainted cells moving through the air, not like insects, but like a liquid. A memory flashes though her mind of water moving the exact same way, but this wasn't the same. The pure fluid she loved so much could never be like this. Sirenes quick ducks behind a large piece of stone lodge in the ground. Her bruised back touches the cool surface and she sighs softly, thankful for that little comfort.

OOC: Sorry, I can't post as much during the week. I can happily post a lot on weekends, though.

Zanthos ran through the streets of the city that was rapidly being blown up by the Abomination. He kept firing arrows at it, but it kept dodging them with supernatural speed and strength. Zanthos continued to charge on ahead, not noticing his allies falling far behind. Sonn he had almost reached the Abomination, ready to fire at point blank range. As powerful as Zanthos's shots were, the horrible creature would have no chance to dodge them at this closeness. The Micro Abomination stopped jumping around, seeming to sense its impending doom, and looked directly at Zanthos. It then looked at something directly behind and above him. Zanthos heard a loud explosion very near behind him and quickly turned around. He looked up in horror as the sun was blocked out by falling chunks of the building that once was. He dived and rolled and jumped and sprinted, but even having dodged most of them, the chunks were falling too fast. As Zanthos came up from a roll, he was struck on the head by one of the last few blocks of stone and cement. The world faded into darkness as Zanthos fell unconscious.

Zanthos drifted in a state of half-consciousness, fading between times when he clearly heard and felt things and times when everything was a blur. He felt himself being lifted up.  Slightly opening his eyes, he saw through bleary eyes a semicircle of dark, shadowy shapes around him. The strain proved too much for him though, and he closed his eyes once more. Slowly fading back into unconsciousness, Zanthos heard words as if they were spoken in a fog: "Do it now. He's already beginning to wake up. We must please our master by concluding this experiment." Zanthos felt a small prick in his left arm. Suddenly, pain consumed his body and he cried out in confusion. His brain already very tired by trying to work when semiconscious, the pain overwhelmed it, and he fell back into the deep dark mists of unconsciousness.

Heimdall looked upwards.

Oh no.

"Xanriel," groaned Heimdall. "He's going insane." Xanriel had sent streams of Malignant Cells flying all around. One pack of them was following him as they looked around, presumably for the Druid. Another pack of them made a beeline for the Micro Abomination. Zanthos was hunting the Abomination, too, sending arrows flying everywhere in a desperate attempt to corner him. Suddenly, Heimdall watched as a tower fell straight on the small form of Zanthos.

"No!" cried out Heimdall, but it was too late. Within mere seconds, the tower was reduced to rubble and Zanthos was nowhere to be seen. Meanwhile, the cells still pursued, The Abomination, who sent towers crashing downwards once more, but to no avail - there were simply too many cells. In utter fear, the Abomination did the only thing he could - send the very last buildings of the town crashing down. Then, the cloud of cells was upon it, obscuring the Abomination from Heimdall's view.

When the cloud of cells flew back upwards, the Abomination was nowhere to be seen.

The pack of cells flew back to Xanriel eagerly. Heimdall sighed. "Zanthos... hopefully he'll be okay. But Xanriel is getting stranger by the minute. He's turning out to be more of a problem than the Fallen Elves," said Heimdall.

"I wouldn't count on it," said Jonathan, staring straight ahead.

Heimdall followed his gaze and sighed once more. The entire town was layered in debris, but it was not devoid of life - far from it. Fallen Elves were rising from the rubble. And there were hundreds - thousands of them. Finally, the adventurers were looking at the full force of the Fallen Elf city, unobscured by buildings. It was an entire plain , as far as the eye can see, filled with ghastly Fallen Elves.

And they were angry.

"Round two," said Heimdall grimly as Jonathan, Sirenes, Dorfl, and Ragen stood beside him. The Fallen army ran, a gigantic horde of creatures that approached them with sheer numbers. A dozen Chaos Seeds flew towards the party; stepping aside nimbly, they were dodged. Arrows, tipped with chaotic swirling energies, fired off at the party. They either missed, were dodged, or were blocked by a blast of psychokinesis from Heimdall. Heimdall confused the minds of the elves, bouncing from mind to mind and causing many of them to become disoriented.

But they approached nevertheless, and now, they were running towards the party, and they were not a couple of yards away. Xanriel was nowhere to be seen, and Zanthos would have to wait. Heimdall tensed his muscles in preparation.

Then, like a raging torrent smashing into an unyielding boulder in a stream, the Elves were upon the 5 adventurers.

Maybe the Fallen Elves can enlist them, I guess.

And they give targets for mutation. :) Fun, fun, fun.

Sirenes stared in shock and awe as the horde of elves rose from the destroyed remnants of their home. You gotta be kiddin' me... What had these people gotten her into? She was tired and beaten. Never before, had she had to fight so hard and so long in her life and half to hand was definitely something she was very skilled at. The Fallen Horde rushed them and were upon them in moments. What to do? She wasn't going to die like this.

The ground starts to shake, starting with a low rumble and slowly rising to a full tremor. Stacked piles of rubble shift and fall from their positions. In the east a piece of wall goes flying into the air as a well erupts, sending a pillar of water into the sky. It freezes solid into a glimmering monolith. She looks at Heimdall "You... cover us! I can't control 'em all."

Her thoughts were clear enough on the surface that Heimdall understood her intentions. He forms a barrier around them just as the ice pillar explodes into millions of razor sharp spines. The shards descent upon them all, impaling the Fallen over every exposed inch of their bodies, felling them in droves.

Editing in progress, do not ninja.

Jonathan's eyes widened as he saw the gigantic pillar of water erupt into the sky. The water then froze into a crystalline tower of ice, and burst into millions of razor-sharp ice spikes. Now that was impressive, Jonathan thought. He watched as the rain of ice descended upon the army of Fallen Elves, impaling a great portion of it instantly. Indeed, this silver-haired girl Sirenes was much, much more than what she first seemed.

The great hailstorm of sharp icicles was over after a few seconds, and the army of Fallen Elves had greatly diminished in number. But that attack alone was not enough, as even more Fallen Elves charged toward the five adventurers. I have to do something, Jonathan thought.

Turning to Heimdall and the others, Jonathan said gravely: "Everyone get back. I'm going to use Hell's Lament."

Heimdall's eyes widened as he remembered that catastrophic attack Jonathan had used in their battle against Mavros. It almost wiped out the army of undead within seconds. Nodding quickly, Heimdall covered the others with his psychokenetic barriers and moved away from Jonathan.

Spreading his wings wide, Jonathan rose into the sky. Like the bringer of doom and catastrophe, Jonathan's body was afire with blood-red and pitch-black energies. Citing an incantation, Jonathan's demonic voice echoed across the air.

"Hell's Lament!"

Columns of energy, every single one as wide as Sirenes's pillar of ice, burst out of the ground. They were the color of blood, streaked with black lightning, and within those columns were roiling masses of red and black destruction. Hell itself once more cried tears of blood, as energies meant to end life erupted out of the ground and decimated all Fallen Elves that were unfortunate enough to be near.

Done. Seems like Hell's Lament was Jonathan's strongest AoE attack.
