As Dorfl saw the Featherider ride off, he threw Xanriel into the sky and encased him with an orb of darkness, slowly choking him. Then he smashed the Ulitharid to the ground, pinning his arms and legs down but then rising him and using shadows to spin him around erratically, keeping his mind disoriented and off balance.

Then he created a black wall in front of the elf, and expanded it into and orb when he tried to fly away. Then, with all 3 trapped, he went to work on Zanathos's mind.

Darkness, become Darkness, you are Darkness

Heimdall closed his eyes. He was used to disorienting situations, and he would always protect his mind before his body. As the darkness permeated his mind once again, Heimdall protected himself with a small sphere of mental energy. He slowly expanded this shell outwards, pushing back the darkness until his entire mind was protected by a powerful mental armor. He opened his eyes and lowered himself slowly towards the ground.

He saw Xanriel blast open the orb of darkness. Zanthos clung on to the Featherider, but Heimdall knew his mind was being assailed mercilessly. The golem had neglected Ragen, however. Ragen flew upwards and came crashing down, creating an earthquake that even tripped up the gargantuan golem. As Dorfl fell, all 4 adventurers converged together on one side. "To the Magma Mountains," Heimdall said. They dashed away. Xanriel flew with the currents, soaring above them. Zanthos dashed ahead with his Featherider. Heimdall propelled himself psychokinetically, and Ragen took great loping steps. They had only one goal: lead Dorfl away and back to the Magma Mountains.

[Terroking]

NO! a voice boomed YOU WILL FALL!

Standing up, the golem suddenly appeared before them, it's arms smashing down before it was even there. A huge shockwave ensued, but he contained it withing another orb, along with the 4 adventurers. As Zanathos and Ragen fell unconious, he took Hiemdall out of it and clenched his fist, smothering the Ulitharid.

Then he grabbed Xanriel and began to feed him Darkness, surprised that he was already corrupted with Death. No Death, Darkness now, be Darkness, YOU ARE DARKNESS!

And Xanriel's last vein of sanity broke, his mind accepting the shadow as it blocked out all other thoughts.

Yes, I am Darkness

He turned, his robes and wings turning black, and dark flames crackled around him as he regained his immortality, losing his sickly palor and growing fangs, his eyes becoming red and merciless, like that of a hunter. A hunter that has just spotted it's prey

He reached out to Ragen and sank his teeth into the human's deck, infusing his blood with darkness.

OOC: Get Johnathan mebe?

OOC: Dude, Jonathan is a little busy. And we're four epic adventurers. I think we can handle this.

Around him, Heimdall felt nothing but a wall of pain. It was squeezing him to death, constricting over and over at his physical form.

And, just then, Heimdall knew he had had enough.

With a rage that he had only felt once before when he vowed to avenge his fellow Ulitharids, Heimdall let loose a psychokinetic shockwave that blasted apart the dark energy of Dorfl's hand.

Heimdall lowered himself to the ground, using a minor mental jolt to reawake Zanthos. As Zanthos groggily woke up, Heimdall shouted. "Get Xanriel!"

Zanthos nocked an arrow and shot Xanriel in the back. Xanriel arched his back in pain, releasing Ragen. Heimdall took advantage of the distraction, entering Xanriel's mind.

He looked around Xanriel's mind, seeing nothing but darkness. A small green spark cowered near the edge of the darkness. Heimdall called out, Xanriel, are you there?

Yes, said Xanriel's consciousness. The darkness has taken over my mind.

Not for long, said Heimdall, molding his mental energy into a glimmering spear. It pierced right through the darkness, and the darkness escaped from Xanriel's body. The green spark filled Xanriel's mind once more.

Heimdall opened his eyes and looked up at the golem. We need a different element. "Life," said Heimdall. "We need Life!"

"You need life?" said Xanriel. "I've got Life."

"And so do I," said Zanthos. Zanthos concentrated within him, using his elven affinity for nature and the wild.
  SPIRIT OF NATURE! he shouted, indicating to the golem.

At the same time, Xanriel shot all the Life spells in his repertoire at Dorfl. Life healing spells, Adrenaline spells, Life Power spells - anything that had anything to do with Life was aimed at Dorfl.

Come on, thought Heimdall.

[Terroking]

OOC: Dorfl is intangible, anything thrown at him will go through him...

Ya, I'm gonna throw some stuff in too here now I think.

OOC: I'll wait for Purity, then we can be done with the corruption thing (Unless Xanriel decides to go insane again)

OOC: Again? Hehe, when did he stop?

Xanriel continued hurling spells of life at the great juggernaut before him. He didn't know if it was working, but trying was better than failing. He opened his mouth and began to sing the Healing Hymn, warping it and refocusing it. Casting Empathic Bond once more, he included the behemoth in the spells aura, sending healing energies from all of his cells into the creature, while Dorfl's life force was sent back to Xanriel as healing.

Rejoicing in the power of his new form, Xanriel cried out in a maniacal laugh that brought chills to the bones and minds of his allies. Extending his black wings, Xanriel flew higher into the skies, crying out to the heavens, thanking them for his power as he wielded it. In one hand, a ball of green energy began to glow, in the other, a globe of deepest purple.

" Touch of Death! Touch of Life!  Unholy Synergy! Spirit Disruption!" Unleashing a devastatingly powerful attack, both orbs flew forth from the angels hands, streaking toward the golem of darkness, swirling around eachother in a dance of lights.

Ten feet before striking the behemoth, the orbs broke apart into seven  purple and green shards. The purple shards shot forward, each hitting a different chakra point of darkness incarnate and tearing through the form, a shadow ripping through Dorfl as his soul is shred from his body. Standing for the world to see were two golems of darkness, one frantically trying to tear shards of death from it's body, the other a lifeless shell.

The green shards flew to the opposite side of Dorfl and his Soul, striking each of the Chakra points again. In a blast of healing energy, the death shards burst, and Dorfl's untainted soul was flung back into his body, seperating him from the darkness as Life energy took over his composition.

Dorfl stood up, his body a bright green and grass sprouting by his feet, the incarnation of life (Note: This still isn't Dorfl, he is a good guy, but has none of Dorfl's memories, just inhabiting his body).

Hello, what has been going on here? he said, or at least appeared to say to the adventurers

Heimdall watched with concern as Xanriel rose into the sky. He doesn't seem right, said Heimdall, but nevertheless, the transformation seemed to work.

Hello, what has been going on here? said the golem.

"Your name is Dorfl. You are a golem, but you were corrupted with Darkness. We switched that darkness into a purer Life, but it's high time that you went back to a volcano and reverted to your previous form. Can you make it back to the Magma Mountains yourself? It's directly northeast of here. Keep going until you find a volcano, and get inside it." Heimdall spoke slowly and methodically.
