I know, but you already some how stopped me from diseasing you once, so he tried a new tactic. Also, I don't have the ability to manipulate necromantic energy past a touch, I can only use it to disease or poison people. Poison would be too slow, and to be frank, I'm not sure how you stopped the disease from entering your blood the first time, but I guess that's just different interpretations of how the vampire stiletto would work, oh well. Besides, if I stopped using life energy to make a safe area in the death-darkness wave you created, then I'll be hit by it, so it's not really a choice to drop it.

It's just my hard core roleplayer getting the better of me. I did something, it was my first thought, it was his first thought, no way to go back on it now in my opinion.

Oh screw it, I'll just edit it.

You don't know how I stopped your diseasing the first time? Normally, Jonathan and his sword are linked, so that blood going into the sword will then go into Jonathan himself. Jonathan simply severed that link momentarily.

I'll see if I have time to respond to you, if my parents don't tell me to get off the computer. If I don't have time, then I'll reply tomorrow.

Precisely how I figured it worked, only I hadn't imagined it'd be that easy to sever the link, oh well. Like I said, I edited it.

Positives to Paragraph Fighting: Very detailed, very fun for both members.
Negatives to Paragraph Fighting: Very confusing at times :P

--------------------------------------------------
The Ulitharid turned in horror. In all the tumult of the fight, he had not sensed the predator behind him; then, when it was finally too late, he had turned in horror as a terrible flaming face stared back at him. Then, before Heimdall had a chance to react, a whooshing shaft of light pierced the creature straight through the heart. The gigantic form behind him crumpled into a weakened mess as Heimdall turned around to see a thin elfin archer. Heimdall reached into his mind, concluding that the figure did not mean any harm to him. Before long, the fleet figure had reached him. "Hello. I am Zanthos Brightbow, son of Lord of the Elves Yelmar Silverwood, and I am at your service," he said in a musical tone that could only be attributed to the elves of the forest.

"Hello," said Heimdall. He glanced backwards. "Thank you for saving us from that Crimson Dragon. Undoubtedly a hungry one who had wandered too far off to the east." Heimdall looked back at the elf. He had learned not to trust anyone throughout the years, and although the elf had saved his life, he knew not what the elf's deeper intentions were.

He decided that searching the Elf's mind would be a prudent thing to do. Concentrating upon his mental energies, Heimdall entered the elf's mind. Although he resisted at first, Heimdall sent out feelings of calm and safety. I am a friend, he communicated with the elf. I just need to determine your intentions.

Heimdall learned that the elf was traveling to the Entropic Shore in order to slay a Fallen Elf to prove his worthiness to his family. Like the rest of the party, he had a quest to fulfill. Heimdall, Xanriel, and Zanthos all seemed to share a common destiny to destroy the Fallen Elves.

Heimdall slowly withdrew his mind from Zanthos. "It seems that we share a common goal," he said. "You may join our party." Heimdall then saw the figure behind Zanthos, immediately recognizing it as one of the animals of lore. "You have a Featherider," said Heimdall incredulously. The Featherider was a majestic animal with a Cockatrice's head and wings and the body of an Emerald Dragon. It could travel swiftly in the air or by land. "An Azif Featherider, by the looks of it," said Heimdall.

Heimdall broke from his reverie. "Although you are surely a worthy warrior, why not spar with me for a bit? We could both gain some battle experience and get to know us better. This is Xanriel, an angel who has exceptional healing capabilities. I am Heimdall, a Ulitharid Mind Warrior. That's Jonathan - he is a vampire demon. That there's Dorfl, a Golem. And Ragen the human is beside him.

So," said Heimdall. "Care to spar?"

"I would think that would be quite a useful thing to do, to sharpen our skills before the long battles ahead. But first, let me make one thing clear. My quest is not simply to kill a Fallen Elf, as you perceived in my mind. My true quest is to vanquish that who the Fallen Elves worship: the Chaos Lord. Once I bring back his head, then let the Elvish Council call me inexperienced and weak!"

Heimdall paused. "Chaos Lord himself?" Heimdall knew very well of the guardian of the Chaos Gate - the master of all the Fallen Elves and of the Entropic Shores. It was said that confusion and randomness followed him everywhere, and those who have met him in person came out insane or worse.  "Well," said Heimdall, "You have large aspirations. And to achieve them, let us improve our skill. What do you think of us starting our duel from separate ends of the field? We both fight from a distance," said Heimdall.

"Very well. Let us start then."
Zanthos readied for combat, letting the life force in his blood grow until he felt strong enough to take on the world. He took out his bow and strode to the opposite end of the field.
"Ready when you are."

I want to try a paragraph one. We'll see how that goes.

Heimdall watched as Zanthos turned to him. Heimdall closed his eyes and concentrated upon his own mind, smoothening and purifying his intellect until it was a perfect sphere. He felt serene as he lifted the energy from the sphere and molded it into a powerful mental dagger. When he found the mind of Zanthos once again, he released his pent-up energy and stabbed into it using his strange mental dagger, watching as the world of the mind blended with the physical world and real pain flooded into Zanthos' body. Although the Mind Flay attack was powerful, it had only lasted a short while, and was meant more to inflict pain than damage. Wondering how Zanthos would react to such an attack, Heimdall bent his legs, retracted all his spines, and stood defensively, waiting for his next move.

When Heimdall had examined Zanthos mind, he had also caught a glimpse of his powerful abilities. Apparently, given :life quanta, he could summon forth actual creatures. Heimdall would have to be physically prepared to dodge both arrow and creature as he fought the elf; he would have to tread warily.

As Zanthos carefully watches Heimdall, Heimdall closes his eyes, apparently concentrating. "Now would be the ideal time to attack," Zanthos thinks. However, just then Zanthos feels a pain that is mental and physical, blending between the two and therefore all the more painful. He collapsed to one knee, unable to think for a short time. He soon got up, though, and concentrated his powers. Using 11 :life quanta, he reaches into nature and brings forth a strong creature and a weak creature, using 8 quanta on one and 3 on the other. He sends them to attack against Heimdall, then quickly brings his bow up and shoots off three powerful shots, each a fraction of a second after one another. He aims these towards Heimdall's head, trying to injure the Ulitharid's brain to impede his mental powers.

Heimdall opens his eyes quickly to hear a several rustling sounds. Before he can deduce what they are, he stares into the face of 3 arrows heading straight for his head. He had predicted this, but he was still not prepared for the assault. He uses his inborn agility do dodge to the right, but he was a split second too late. The first arrow caught him on the side of the head, piercing his skin and drawing a deep blue blood. Thankfully, the rest of the arrows missed him.

Heimdall examined his wound. It was not deep, but it was still quite irritating. Evidently, Zanthos had no intention of making this easy. Heimdall then saw the source of the rustling noises. A large, strong Cockatrice was headed his way, fierce beak flashing and wings beating. Behind it was a small Rustler, bristled with thorns and sharp leaves. Heimdall waited for a moment. Then, just when the Cockatrice was almost upon him, he leapt over it and plunged an elbow blade deep within the Rustler. It crumpled immediately. Heimdall then focused his mind's energy upon the Cockatrice, crushing its will for its original master.

The Cockatrice's thoughts scattered, but Heimdall rearranged them into sheer obedience. Attack the Elf, commanded Heimdall. The Cockatrice could do nothing but rush to obey as Heimdall took a leaf from the Rustler to patch up his small wound. Heimdall knew that the Cockatrice would be felled easily; he would have to prepare a stronger attack to take down Zanthos.

Zanthos watched his rustler get easily demolished by the Ulitharid. Then, his Cockatrice suddenly turned around and started racing back to attack him. As Zanthos stared into its eyes, they were completely blank. Obviously, it was being controlled. Zanthos said a prayer for the Cockatrice's soul and then quickly shot it between the eyes. Then, he turned back to stare at Heimdall. "This creature is obviously stronger than I realized," he thought, "And more resourceful too."

Zanthos decided on a course of action. Taking out his bow, he shot a few arrows at the Ulitharid. He then used the life force to boost his speed up to unimaginable proportions and sprinted for Heimdall, twirling his dagger out from its secret hiding place and slashing at the Ulitharid's face. He then quickly retreated to prepare for Heimdall's next attack. His dagger was coated with the sap of a deadly plant, he could only hope that the arrows had distracted the Ulitharid long enough for the dagger to have at least scratched him.

OK, I'll try to finish my fight with Xanriel.

"You've infected me with Aflatoxin?!" Jonathan's eyes widened in terror. "Are you trying to kill me?!" Already, the vampire-demon could feel the deadly toxin spreading through his bloodstream, into his body. No, he must take care of this immediately, otherwise his body would be reduced to nothing but a mass of diseased flesh.

Being part vampire was not without its perks and advantages. Although he was unable to purify the poison inside him, Jonathan could control his own blood flow with his mind, and therefore dispel the contaminated blood out of his body. Fighting the sickly feelings of revulsion in his body, Jonathan concentrated and directed the blood tainted by Aflatoxin into his throat and mouth. Immediately, he doubled over, and vomitted violently on the grass; red blood, tainted with a sickly shade of gray, burst out of his mouth.

Already, the blood splattered on the grass beneath Jonathan had started coagulating. After solidifying into clumps of dried blood, they immediately writhed and mutated until they became masses of sickly gray flesh. Still it was not over: the chunks of diseased flesh grew larger and larger, and then they split; each of the individual offshoots then began growing and splitting. Jonathan leapt away before the rapidly dividing swarm of Malignant Cells could reach him.

"Aflatoxin is always a dangerous substance to use. That really could have killed me. Be careful next time." Jonathan said, as he slashed at the Malignant Cells writhing on the floor with his blade.

Xanriel stared at the multiplying Malignant Cells. "I did not expect it to be so powerful."

"Of course not. You are an angel of Life, so you couldn't have had much practice with the arts of Death. Aflatoxin would have easily killed any ordinary opponent, so I'd have no doubt that this is the first time you have actually used it."

Xanriel's lips twisted into a smirk. "Yes. But I have just realized one thing." He smiled as he touched one of the Malignant Cells, injecting a dose of Adrenaline into it.

"What...?" Jonathan just had enough time to say, before the Cell started writhing violently and replicating four times faster. Within seconds, the Malignant Cells formed a solid wall between Jonathan and Xanriel, and dozens of Cells detached themselves from the wall to attack Jonathan while dividing rapidly at the same time.

"Good luck getting through all those cells, Jonathan!" Xanriel smiled triumphantly.

Dammit! Jonathan cursed as he rose into the sky to dodge the Malignant Cells rushing at him. He had to think of something fast, because the Cells now began to form ladders and reach into the sky at him. "I guess I'll have to use this now..." Jonathan thought.

Slicing his own left thumb on the sharp obsidian blade of the Vampire Gladius, Jonathan watched as the weapon drank his own demonic blade. Red sigils began to appear and flash on the blade, and they grew brighter and larger until they covered the blade completely. The blade was now completely a shade of blood red, with streams of black lightning crackling and swirling around it. Jonathan silently murmured an incantation in his own mind, and the blade burst into red and black flames once again.

"Rain of Blood."

Jonathan slashed widely and viciously at the mass of writhing Malignant Cells beneath him. A great arc of crimson and black energy burst out of his sword, and split into hundreds of bolts of pure darkness tinged with red. As the dark bolts made contact with the Cells, the Cells were instantly drained of all life and sucked dry, turning into empty husks. One by one the Cells were drained and killed, and the energy drained from those diseased bodies was absorbed by Jonathan's blade. Hissing in delight, the blade glowed and grew, until it was the size of a gigantic claymore, capable of severing the head of a great dragon in one blow. Jonathan smiled.

"You lose, Xanriel. Soul Harvest."

Xanriel's eyes widened in horror as Jonathan and his blade, augmented by a wave of pure Darkness and blood, rushed at him.

OOC: Jonathan will be very tired after this fight, because he used his demonic form and two uber attacks.
