I might as well post what I found when exploring at night.
Note: The events below all happened
last night in the RPG, after Jonathan got out of his window and decided to explore the Aetheric Lands a bit.
Just as Jonathan was flying silently in the sky, his supernatural senses suddenly alerted him of danger. He came to an abrupt stop in midair, but not before slamming into a web of... nothing. Some strange, immaterial strings had tied themselved around Jonathan's body, but he couldn't see those strange strings at all. Jonathan glanced around, to see four Phase Spiders, led by a Phase Recluse, crawling out of the shadows.
Ah, Phase Spiders. No wonder. Their webs exist in the Aether and therefore were undetectable. But the webs of such puny creatures could not hope to capture someone as powerful as Jonathan. With a grunt, Jonathan jerked himself free.
"Sigh... Creatures of the Aether have no lifeblood for me to drink." said Jonathan. Too bad, he'd have to kill them. Gathering the energies of Darkness in his right palm, Jonathan shot forth a bolt of pure darkness at one of the Phase Spiders; it was instantly blown to bits that quickly dissipated back into the Aether.
Sensing their comrade's demise, the other three Phase Spiders hissed viciously, and spit from their mouths immaterial webs. Fully on-guard this time, Jonathan dodged them easily. He activated his Dark Shroud again, and rushed at the Spiders with deadly grace. With a single swipe of his obsidian blade, Jonathan cleaved the three Phase Spiders in half.
The remaining Phase Recluse opened its jaw, and spit forth more webs. Unlike the less powerful Phase Spiders, the webs of the Phase Reclude were charged with electricity. More cautious now, Jonathan dodged the electric webs. Gathering darkness into his vampiric blade, Jonathan silently murmured an incantation.
"
Blood Blade."
The pitch-dark sword burst into sanguine flames, tinged with black. Raising the sword high above his head, Jonathan slashed at the Phase Recluse with a wide sweeping motion. The red and black energy dancing on his blade rushed at the Recluse in a deadly, crescent-shaped wave.
With a hiss of terror, the Phase Recluse tried to flee. However, it was to no avail. The moment the deadly red energy made contact with the Recluse's body, the Aetheric creature was torn to bits, and reduced to its most basic quantum composition. Within seconds, there was nothing left of the once-been Phase Recluse.
"Hmm... 5
from that Phase Recluse. Not too shabby." Jonathan smiled as he gathered the Aether quanta into his pocket.
Spreading his wings, Jonathan flew on.

Blood Blade is not a new ability. All Jonathan did was combining Shadow Blast with Drain Life.
