One day, 1chase1997 accidentally exploded.

He was (something).

Then, Shadow10 tripped and broke his finger. It was fatal.

He was (something).

Then, Firemaster2010 looked under a rock. He found an ant. It ate him.

He was (something).

Then, Surferdude12010 started walking towards a house. He died.

He was (something).



I would like to put in a couple requests:

1) Please - I'd rather that no major discussion of this mass-modkilling happen on this thread. I don't want anyone to try to discern anyone else's role from their reaction to this. Discussion outside of the thread is okay, since it might be a major event in the game - and it is encouraged with me.

2) Please give me some suggestions on how to handle this, through PMing either on forums or chat - should some kind of balancing be done? Should I do nothing, and just have them modkilled? Should I recruit 4 new players to take their place, in which case they will all spontaneously revive (this prospect is why I've omitted their roles for now)? It's possible that I'll have to extend this day, by the way. If necessary due to having to recruit new people, I'll extend it - but not by too much.

I'm probably going to try to find replacements - but if anyone objects to me, then I won't.

As far as i'm concerned, if you can simply find replacements, that would be great, however the rest of us would have three turns of "learning" about them waisted.  I know none of us had deffinate answers on thier roles but i'm sure people had thier suspisions.  Ehhh, your the game master, its ultimatly your call, whatever you decide i'm sure we'll play it out regardless.

The whole "learning" thing is an issue - I've considered this. I figure you would have to adapt some, but you would know which replacement matches with which old person - for example, I could tell you "jamiejoneslovesu has 1chase1997's old role." This way, you would have to adapt to a new personality, but you would still have information from what the old person said.

I would use a RNG to determine who got who's old role.

I will say this though.....the current day should be "paused" until all of this is cleared up.  Or at least until you decide what the final outcome will be.  If you are gonna replace them, then we can just post votes for thier old names until the day is finished.
