@Naii - About Raiden I think what torb meant is for medic and Raiden to protect some power role that needed to claim (like Durandal). This just requires some coordination.

Raiden Mei does not require coordination, quite the opposite. By targeting someone to be protected and an unwitting victim, all kill abilities will affect the unwitting victim instead of the one being protected. As soon as you coordinate whom the second target is, mafia can simply target them. Raiden Mei is an ER ability, too, so can indefinitely protect someone as long as there is a scapegoat, Raiden Mei lives and binding chains does not take effect. Whether or not Fu Hua helps out and protects the scapegoat (by targeting the power role) is irrelevant in saving the power role.

The issue with having Hua protect the scapegoat(s) is that someone would need to out a scapegoat target, and then the mafia can just nightkill them instead and the phantom swap on Durandal would kill him off. It’s a little to unreliable and easy to circumvent a strategy, I think.

Oh, that kind of coordination, now I'm contradicting myself, hah.

The original idea behind alternating with Fu Hua was that Fu Hua can prevent someone from dying altogether, while Raiden Mei only deflects the effect onto someone else (making Fu Hua the better choice). So coordinate which role to use might be optimal, but it's much safer to just use Raiden Mei every round if you want to protect someone since it works every round, unlike Fu Hua.

The issue with having Hua protect the scapegoat(s) is that someone would need to out a scapegoat target, and then the mafia can just nightkill them instead and the phantom swap on Durandal would kill him off. It’s a little to unreliable and easy to circumvent a strategy, I think.

Fu Hua will also be deflected to the scapegoat, so its identity does not need to be known to anyone but Raiden Mei.
