Spoiler for How to Play Mafia:

All of the players in the game are collectively referred to as the Town. The Town is split into two factions. There is a minority faction, the mafia (False Gods), and a majority faction, the innocents (Elementals). The False Gods start the game with the knowledge of who the other members are, and their goal is to kill all of the Elementals. The Elementals start the game not knowing who is a False God and who is a fellow Elemental, and their goal is to kill all of the False Gods.

The game is split into two phases. It generally starts with a Night Phase, in which the False Gods choose one member of the Town to kill. This is called the Nightkill. Also, players may use abilities given to them by their roles during this phase. Following each Night Phase is the Day Phase. During the day, the Town may choose to lynch one player through the use of votes. Each player gets one vote, and the person with the most votes at the end of the day is lynched and removed from the game. This cycle continues until either all of the False Gods are dead, or the number of False Gods is equal to or greater than the number of Elementals at the beginning of a Day Phase. This is called reaching parity.

How to determine who is mafia and who is innocent is entirely up to the players. As a False God your job is to blend into the Town and direct lynches onto Elementals without giving yourself away. As an Elemental your job is to use logic, reason, tells, intuition, and any abilities you may have to determine who the False Gods are and lynch them. An inactive town will easily fall prey to the mafia, so try to generate as much information as possible. In the game of mafia you have two main weapons; your voice and your vote. Use them wisely.

General Mafia Rules

1. Do not post, chat, OR PM ANY revealing information if you have been killed/removed from this mafia. You are allowed one death post that contains no information or commentary about the players.
2. You are not allowed to edit or remove your post. Instead, EBWOP will take effect. This means you must post again with the correct fixes. Coded messages are not allowed.
3. Directly quoting or providing proof in any way of any PM sent by the host will result in an instant modkill and referral to the FGO.
4. You are not allowed to directly quote any PM sent by another player, unless you are quoting it to a fellow mafia member confirmed by the host.
5. You are not allowed to request to be modkilled in the thread. If you PM the host requesting to be modkilled, the host must find a substitute or modkill you at the end of the phase.
6. All players' actions should be primarily motivated by winning the game. Throwing the game or outing your teammates for no strategic value is not allowed.
7. The host has the final say in any dispute. Do not impersonate the host.
8. Any flaming/trolling will not be tolerated.
9. Players' actions should be motivated by this game's events solely. You may look at past mafias to determine behaviors for better reads, but keep personal affairs out of the game.
10. Anything said within the context of the game, including promises, bets, etc, stays within the game. Players can lie, deceive, and manipulate, (but not cheat) in any way they like. Slander within the context of the game is usually not meant as a personal offense.
*Any use of the word PM by the host or FGO refers to any method of communication outside of the game thread and the blab chat.

Breaking any of the above rules may result in a modkill as determined by the host, or a ban from future mafias or forum games in general as determined by the Forum Game Organizer.

Mafia 74: Honkai Eruption

Honkai energy is a malevolent force with a will of its own. It corrupts everything it touches, turning humans into shells of their former selves. It imbues certain individuals, known as Herrschers, with god-like power and strips away their humanity. Brave young women known as Valkyries fight to protect the innocent, no matter the cost.

Spoiler for General:

The game will start on Night 0, which will be followed by Day 1. Players may post at night.

Phases will be 48 hours, though this may change due to extenuating circumstances. The day will be extended by up to 30 minutes if less than 7 minutes have passed since the last vote or vote tally. The day will immediately end after 30 minutes.

If you do not post for three consecutive phases, you will be modkilled.

The roles that are in the game will not be disclosed until after the game is over. In addition, you are not notified when you are targeted unless stated otherwise.

The nightkill is factional and cannot be tracked or roleblocked, and it does not target. The nightkill cannot be used on Night 0.

The Herrscher:Valkyrie ratio is roughly 1:4. There will be 3 Herrschers starting at 15 players, and 4 Herrschers starting at 19 players. Herrschers are the mafia, and may communicate outside the thread. You may communicate in the official Elements blab chat, but all relevant messages must be posted in the thread immediately afterward. No other communication is permitted outside the thread.

Valkyries win if all the Herrschers are dead. Herrschers win if they achieve parity at the beginning of a day phase.

Voting Total ties will result in No Lynch. No Lynch can be voted on independently, and will automatically win if no votes are cast. Clearly declaring your intent to vote without using the proper format is a valid way to vote.

Spoiler for Honkai Cores:

Each Herrscher starts the game with a Honkai Core ability, in addition to their role ability. Honkai Core abilities do not conflict with or replace role abilities, and may be activated at the same time. Honkai Cores can be excluded, but not repeated. The presence of a Honkai Core is always revealed on death.

Core of Reason Global Analysis (EoR) Target a player. Learn their original role.

Core of Void Black Hole (2U) Target a player. If they die tonight, their role is not revealed. (Honkai Cores will still be revealed.)

Core of Lightning Chain Lightning (ER) Target a player. At the end of the night, you learn which players they targeted, and which players targeted them. (Ability names are not revealed.)

Core of Death Rapid Decay (1U) Target player dies at the end of the next day phase. They will receive a notification immediately.

Core of Binding Binding Chains (Passive) When you are lynched, all role abilities are disabled for the following night. (Honkai Core abilities are unaffected.)

Spoiler for Roles:

Roles can be excluded, but not repeated. All players will have a role, including mafia members, unless there are more than 20 players, in which case the excess players may end up being Valkyries with no role. A player’s original role will be revealed on death unless the player is affected by Black Hole.

Kiana Kaslana Time Fracture (EoR) Target a player. Their abilities can’t be used tonight, and they can’t vote on the following day. They will be notified. You can’t target yourself. (Uses are refunded. EoR abilities don’t go on cooldown. Failed abilities always produce a notification.)

Raiden Mei Phantom Image (ER) Target exactly two players. Tonight, anything that targets the first player affects the second player instead, and vice versa. This includes the nightkill. You can’t target yourself. (This can cause abilities to be used on otherwise illegal targets, such as for abilities that can’t normally target the user. Note that this ability has very high priority.)

Bronya Zaychik Charge Beam (Passive) Not voting increases your Voting Power by 1 the next time you do vote. This effect stacks. (This is checked at the end of the day. In other words, voting and then removing your vote later will simply count as not voting.)

Himeko Murata Field of Blades (2U) Target a player. If they are targeted by at least two other role abilities this night, kill them. You can’t target yourself. (Passives, nightkills, and Honkai Core abilities do not count.)

Yae Sakura Consecrate Ground (EoR) Target up to three players. Other abilities targeting them will fail tonight. You can’t target yourself. (Nightkills are unaffected. Abilities that target a protected player will fail entirely even if their other targets are valid. Uses are refunded. EoR abilities don’t go on cooldown. Failed abilities always produce a notification.)

Theresa Apocalypse Spear of Judgement (ER) Target a player. If they are a Herrscher, you learn their Honkai Core’s ability type. Otherwise, you learn the ability type of their original role ability. You can’t target yourself. (The ability types are ER, EoR, Passive, and #U. Does not distinguish between Honkai Core abilities and role abilities.)

Fu Hua Phoenix Rebirth (ER) Target player can’t be killed tonight, other than by a modkill. You may target yourself, but you can’t target the same player twice in a row.

Kallen Kaslana Red Thread of Fate (EoR) Target exactly two players. If one dies tonight, so does the other. You may target yourself, and if you’re a Herrscher, you must do so.

Rita Rossweisse Rose Petals (ER) Target a player. If they have any abilities that can be used tonight and can have exactly one target, force them to use it on you. You can’t target yourself. (If successful, this overrides any target(s) they may have selected. The abilities still occur at their normal priority level. EoR abilities still go on cooldown, and #U abilities still lose a use. They will be notified.)

Liliya Olenyeva Flash Counter (1U) You can’t be killed tonight, other than by a modkill. At the end of the night, kill all players who targeted you with an ability that would have killed you. If the nightkill is prevented this way, this automatically kills one Herrscher, preferring the living Honkai Core holder that appears earliest in the Honkai Core list. (Abilities that do not immediately kill you, or would not have killed you due to a condition not being met, will not trigger this effect.)

Rozaliya Olenyeva Typhoon Cutter (2U) Kill target player. If they were a Valkyrie, lose all remaining uses of this ability. You can’t target yourself.

Seele Vollerei Quantum State (Passive) You permanently gain a copy of the first role ability to target you. (Priority matters! You’ll receive a notification. The ability will have all uses remaining, and will not be on cooldown. You still technically have the Quantum State ability.)

Durandal Break of Dawn (EoR) Target a player. At the start of the next day, whether they are a Herrscher will be revealed to you. They can’t be voted on that day. (There will be a public notification for this part.) You can’t target yourself.

Cecilia Schariac Abyssal Flower (ER) Target a player. If this is the first time you’ve targeted them with this ability, reveal your name and original role to them. If this is the second time you’ve targeted them with this ability, kill them instead. You can’t target yourself.

Shigure Kira Idyllic Dreams (EoR) Target up to three players. If any of them targeted you tonight, you learn each other’s name and original role. You can’t target yourself.

Frederica Tesla Radio Wave (ER) Target any number of players. You learn how many abilities those players used tonight, in total. You can’t target yourself. (Includes Honkai Core abilities. You don’t learn the ability name or target. Players can use more than one ability each night.)

Lieserl Einstein Theory of Relativity (ER) Target a player. You receive a list of all ability names that targeted them tonight, other than this one. You may target yourself. (Player names are not revealed.)

Emma Planck Atomic Signature (EoR) Name a role. You learn which player, if any, has that role. (This includes players who have gained that role, and players who are already dead. Honkai Cores are not roles.)

Cocolia Surveillance Network (Passive) At the start of Night 0, you learn the role ability of three random other players. (If you’re a Herrscher, this won’t reveal roles of other Herrschers.)

Sin Mal Soul Funeral (3U) Target a player. If they are lynched tomorrow, you permanently gain a copy of their original role ability if you do not already have it. You can’t target yourself. (You’ll receive a notification. Abilities will have all uses remaining, and will not be on cooldown. You may use multiple abilities in one night.)

Spoiler for Rulings:

-Gained abilities (from Quantum State or Soul Funeral) are not revealed on death.
-Modkills will generally only occur at the end of a phase. As such, it is possible to target those players until then, including with abilities such as Black Hole.
-Players who are already dead can’t be targeted, but targeting will still succeed if a player is targeted in the same phase that they die. Atomic Signature does not target.
-If multiple abilities with the same priority (such as Chain Lightning and Idyllic Dreams) target a player with an active Quantum State ability, one will be selected at random.
-The following abilities will trigger Flash Counter’s counterattack: Red Thread of Fate, Abyssal Flower, Typhoon Cutter, and Field of Blades. Rapid Decay will not, as death is not immediate. When a nightkill is prevented this way, Flash Counter chooses a living Herrscher based on the order of the Honkai Cores in the list. (Reason > Void > Lightning > Death > Binding)
-Chain Lightning will include the user in the results.
-Abyssal Flower and Idyllic Dreams reveal your original role, not the role corresponding to those abilities. If you are Seele Vollerei or Sin Mal, your target will learn this!
-The nightkill has no targeting restrictions. You may attempt to nightkill a Herrscher, though this will rarely be helpful.
-Voting while under the effect of Time Fracture will result in a modkill at the end of the phase, even if that vote is removed later. Voting on a player affected by Break of Dawn is discouraged, but as this is a public notification already, those players will simply be treated as though they did not vote. No modkill will occur.
-Abyssal Flower is tracked per player, so two different players targeting the same player will not result in a kill. Targeting a player with Abyssal Flower three times (or more) has no effect.
-Rose Petals will affect all abilities a player has, including Honkai Core abilities and abilities gained through effects. The user of Rose Petals will be the only target of any affected abilities.
-The targets of Idyllic Dreams will not learn the roles of the other targets. The condition is checked separately for each of the ability's targets.
-You cannot use the same ability more than once per round, but you may activate multiple abilities in the same round. Passives can never be activated. See this post for more information.
-Phoenix Rebirth cannot be used twice in a row on the same player. This only considers the intended target, not the final target, which may be changed by Phantom Image or Rose Petals.
-Abilities do not target unless they specifically say that they do. As such, Flash Counter, Atomic Signature, and all passive abilities do not target.
-Some niche scenarios can occur due to duplication of roles by Seele Vollerei and Sin Mal. Interaction between two or more players with the same ability is listed here.
-Please note that #U is its own ability type. Theresa's ability will not report the specific number of uses.

May I ask for the extension to be reduced to half an hour. The idea of extension is mainly to stop last minute vote thing, no need for an hour extension. There’s no reason for these extensions when there’s been 48 hours of phases to talk, it just encourages late phase activity and people just wait assuming extensions are part of the phases and essentially bound to happen every time.
