I feel like you're only interested in not being scum-read and wiggling out of the lynch rather than pushing a scum-read or trying to solve and lynch the Criminals...

Pinning someone else as maf when you're being scumread is more scummy than trying to defend yourself, and I want to be viewed as minimally scummy if at all right now. I could give you a list of all of my reads and everything I feel is happening, but that won't let people believe it if I'm seen as scum.

I disagree strongly with you assertion that #1 suspects with easy fighting chances to not be lynched should ONLy defend until they are out of danger -- that doesn't maximize positive impact for town if you're town. FINDING Criminals is the #1 goal of town right now and throughout the game. If you suspect some players of being Criminals and lay out reasoned evidence or feels and then vote and in a manner consistent with that in a developed way I have a good feeling you wont' be lynched today.

See how that would benefit town more than just trying to parry your way out of suspicion?

Having "good reads" or "reads that people believe" is not what I'm suggesting. I mean, they should make sense in your eyes as matching game content and game-state and have solid foundation in either feels you can describe to us or evidence that can be displayed/showed/reviewed. That is, it is the PROCESS of solving and CONSISTENCY of it matching a town POV and motivation that would clear you to me rather than somehow you trying to "have the right reads".

Hopefully I'm making sense here -- I am not doing much reviewing/editing and just streaming thoughts into typing sentences.

Also, consider this: You don't auto-lose if you die. You win if town wins. That means town!Coffee's goal right now is not to avoid lynch first - it's to benefit town first. A subset of that is to avoid lynch, but getting your reads out for us to analyze is town-beneficial.

Let's say you're right and we all discard your reads because we're convinced you're mafia. We lynch you and find out you are town. Oops. But wait! It's not all a loss! We can go back and look at your reads in a different light and potentially produce something that will help us win the game.

Conversely, scum tend to over-focus on themselves not being lynched because losing just one scum on a small team is a big deal and they already know who is/isn't scum so solving (or trying to look like they are solving) risks outing even more of their team.

Basically, legitimate and honest solving is always the best town-tell for a town person to chase. It double-advances town's goal by them less likely to be mislynched AND it has chances to find the opposing scum team.
