I've been reading up, I just don't feel it necessary to continue to state my opinion on the lynch/no lynch on D1 topic, as I stated them pretty clearly in the first place. Also, I'm awful at post reading and I don't have enough experience playing mafia to know how everyone plays.

@everyone Do you think it is wise for the int team to play nice with the mafia, or the mafia to play nice with the Int team? Are they essentially allies or do you think they will be at odds with each other?

Intel might fare better without gathering enemies, so I would say playing naice is intuitive.

If I were an intel party member, I would pick and "Intel Ambassador", who would publicly reveal himself to be a 'third party' member. The Ambassador would recommend that killing him would be a waste of a phase for each party. After the reveal, the Intel members would observe how the people treat them for a few phases, then if they are widely accepted, the rest could safely reveal too.

Note 1: The Intel members would also observe which party is more aggressive towards them if their Ambassador dies. If the Ambassador was lynched, they side with mafia. Otherwise, they would side with Town.
Note 2: If someone claims to be an Intel, but is not, it would be intuitive for a real Intel member to speak up about it. In this case, the real Intel members would get credit for themselves for actively helping disposing of liars.

You miss the fact that intel members dont know who other intel are.

That barely changes anything. An Ambassador can still come out, and then other Intel members can confirm him on the following night. Then the Intel members will all know each other, or if there was a liar, ensue Note 2.

Hmm... thinking about it then it would seem as like... I feel more like Intel are more and more like Survivors in this mafia, albeit you want to delay the game as long as possible to have more time to determine who is who though.

As we all know, claiming Survivor is pretty dumb. At least, I personally wouldn't do that if I were Intel.

I'll do reads this weekend when the dust settles, I promise. I fucking suck at reading people but let me try.

(As to why not earlier, I'm doing college applications.)

I think there's a more optimal strat for Intel that is better than a public roleclaim for one of the Intel.

I said claiming Intel was stupid though, so I won't claim Intel even if I were. But I'm pretty sure I'm town so I won't say what the optimum plan is.

While no action was taken at the times they were posted, once a complaint is issued, it's best to set the bar on the safe side. I did used to be a proponent of No Lynch, back when I first started playing. I didn't understand why we would risk killing town when we had so little info. I've since been learned better. My argument is now essentially that a townie getting lynched D1 (or D0) still provides valuable info. I know others disagree and we don't have to keep arguing this, but since you insist on a response to this, here it is.

Also, I didn't intend to be aggressive toward No Lynchers. I was making a case against it because I think it's not beneficial for town (or worse, detrimental). I apologize if I offended anyone or was overly aggressive toward anyone. I may take your stance on No Lynch as a factor when reading you, and you can disagree with me doing that, but that's just where we stand, I guess.
