www3 - the idea that you're being genuine about thinking fewer posts in a game makes it easier to have opinions is pretty ludicrous to me.

By that logic, lurkers should be the easiest to read but nobody would be silly enough to propose that, yet...

Fewer posts means that it takes less time to make your list of reads. Now c'mon, don't try twist whatever I say.

You don't have to read and digest the ENTIRE thread anytime you want to read another player. Your refusal to even give opinions on players citing some lack of ability to have read the entire thread is at best infuriating (the case we are both town -- I'm not sure you are) and otherwise leans me scum on you.

Wouldn't it be easier for me just to give a list of reads if I was scum? There are like 10 more people Who haven't given a list, and some of them haven't even said anything. Go and annoy them, you usually put pressure on inactives I thought?

I await your response rob. It's ok, feel free to take your time and talk to fellow Mafia partners before responding.

On this site, I've come to grips with the fact 'putting pressure on in-actives is comparable to taking a leak in the ocean due to the abject apathy common around here.

I'll say no thanks and continue leaning in to active players and hopefully mods do the keep-it-active part of their duty along with what would be fair vig-shots (Hitman targets) into a pool of players-not-being-helpful-or-towny.

I know you are trying to be helpful rob, but in the same way that focusing on one group of disagreeing people leaves focus too narrow, when one person has almost tje same votepost total as the rest of the group, it can become easy to be drowned with one person's opinion and lose focus on the rest

Well, I'm having trouble even getting the next-most-active players to put forth any read on me so far - leaving alone any requests for comprehensive opinions or takes.

This is all leaving me with a very hopeless feeling -- players that don't want to make reads due to volume of posts in the game, VERY inactive players almost all the way through an entire cycle of day/night phase, push back on my view of what best furthers the game in town's interest... wtf are we going to do in the possible (and in my opinion, likely) event where roles are mis-managed or not fully used to maximum effectiveness and we have a thread void of many players opinions or reads on the game????

In the interest of doing whatever I can to help town... there seems to be some opinion or desire that I post less or the thread becomes less active. I'll do my part -- responding only where I have a STRONG opinion on something and/or where I am directly addressed or part of the item I'm responding to.

I think the best way to deal with some of the issues youre facing rob (people be inactive and not discussing at the same degree you are/putting in the same effort you are) might to ask more direct questions, in the past its seemed to get people more active, and in fact I think all semi active players should try to make an effort to as direct questions to people to insight discussion. I'll start

www3, I gotta be honest, drawing back to an idea or an opinion made over 20 mafias ago is a big stretch, how do you really justify making that leap? (this is in regards to you pointing out a flaw in Ians consistency of no lynch opinion) Or do you have any further evidence that points to that opinion as well?

Linkcat, So you didn't support the random lynch earlier, what do you support? Does anyone as of now make you suspicious, or are waiting on info during the night phase to identify some targets?

JcJ, I know you don't support the no lynch, but what would you rather have done? I get you had a spitevote on sub but thats hardly a legitimate reason if youre playing to win as town.

Rob, if you were on the INT team, how would you play it? Ive tried to guess the best options for playing it, but until the end of the game, and we find out who they are, I don't really have a solid grasp on how they will play.

My point was if ian himself believed in no lynch at a time, then why is he so aggressive towards those who voted no lynch this time? Makes no sense to me. Also, making a read list thing so

Intel might fare better without gathering enemies, so I would say playing naice is intuitive.

If I were an intel party member, I would pick and "Intel Ambassador", who would publicly reveal himself to be a 'third party' member. The Ambassador would recommend that killing him would be a waste of a phase for each party. After the reveal, the Intel members would observe how the people treat them for a few phases, then if they are widely accepted, the rest could safely reveal too.

Note 1: The Intel members would also observe which party is more aggressive towards them if their Ambassador dies. If the Ambassador was lynched, they side with mafia. Otherwise, they would side with Town.
Note 2: If someone claims to be an Intel, but is not, it would be intuitive for a real Intel member to speak up about it. In this case, the real Intel members would get credit for themselves for actively helping disposing of liars.

You miss the fact that intel members dont know who other intel are.

Again, I was only part of the no-lynch back then because my vote was completely useless at that point. I did not agree with it (hence the "Nobody wants random lynch ")

d2d - posted a bit, but nothing much realting directly to the mafia. Just some waffle/mechanics and other talk.
Link - neutral. Claims that he's struggling to scumread anyone, which is slightly weird too, but nothing too out of place yet.
fab - dropped a random vote on dd day 0 (why dd, fab?). Then removed his vote, then put another vote on solaris (why?) then removed it. That's all the posts he's made really. Will wait for him to respond to his reasonings. Also said "Last time I tried to No Lynch I got lynched, so let's do opposite." when sol had 5 votes, sub had 4 and fab had a grand total of 0. Makes no sense at all.
www3 - honest town. All posts seems impeccable. Carry on.
UT - tells me to put my vote on no lynch (or on someone else) Then voted me by saying im pushing hard for no lynch. WTF UT? Said "nothing of note" when someone asked for tl;dr of N1. But also says that its important to scum read by reading posts and not night actions. How can you say nothing og note and then say that....
kdz - unusually active but i dont want to punish him for that...just something to keep in mind. I like some of his posts, will look out for how he plays the rest of it.
gino - nothing to talk about
sola - hasnt posted much. Dont think he's read all of mafia either.
DC - will give him the town lean for now.
JCJ - Why did you vote sola after removing your vote from sub? I didnt see a reason for it
dd - seems neutral. You missed some people out in your reads list though, might wanna go back and add stuff in there.
ian - bashes about no lynch when he made a total of 4 posts during day 0, none of which were of any substance. Left his joke vote on d2d for no reason at all too.
sub - lot's of waffling, stupid stuff, bad town play, but not scum play.
lunaris - too many posts for her to read. I'll give her time to read up on - be quick please.
Espi - i'm waiting for that list venn thing. Otherwise, seems pretty normal espi play.
coffee- neutral.
math - i've a gut feeling that's positive about him. But his posts show otherwise. He wishes to lynch, but doesn't intend to catch up on mafia :/
rob - active as always. If you disagree with rob, you are a mafia in his opinion. Don't know if he's trying to go overboard with all the posts in order to gain control as a mafia, or acc is town and trying to help town. Will keep an eye on his future posts carefully and see how he goes.
