this is pretty weak... Feels like a scum trying to look solvey or involved while just poking around.

How is this weak? You were heavily against people who said no lynch when you have supported no lynch previously.

Because you are ignoring the more recent evidence where I for several/many games now I have lobbied AGAINST No Lynch. I don't need to clarify something that is no longer my viewpoint or something I adhere to. It is weak that you try to use that to discredit my thoughts this game on No Lynch.

When a lot of your argument is based on the no lynch aspect, I don't find it weak to bring up that point. Regardless or not of your view change, at one time you thought no lynch was fine. Some of us think that way currently too. You attacking people just because they said no lynch makes absolutely no sense. Just like at one time you thought no lynch was the best option, some of us thought the same this day 0.

I agree that one should hold their opinions highest of all others, since they are 100% certain of their own role. But they should not hold themself in such a high regard, that it looks like they think EVERYONE else is scum. Guilty until proven innocent is fine. But the notion of "my word is law" just because you know your faction is not. And can be detrimental to town if you insist on only furthering yourself and getting others to follow. I have read most of the thread by this stage, and all I see is you disagreeing and arguing with a lot of people.

Basically I see you as someone who is trying to be leader in "follow the leader." And someone who wants that much attention more often than not craves the power that comes with it.

I don't think everyone else is scum. I have town-reads too! If you were reading or even just going to my profile's "Show Posts" section to look in on the game / my involvement completely you would notice or have observed that.

What I'm after is NOT being part of another town that just listlessly sits around 1- or 2-posting through the days with multiple players languishing in the mod-kill territory of inactivity just trying to "ability or role" itself into stronger positions. I don't "want attention" or to be a leader anymore than what I think town needs. Right now I see a bunch of people:

a. Wanting No Lynches which is actively no putting into play one of town's greatest weapons.
b. Avoiding giving reads because they think it just cannot be done yet.
c. Publicly encroaching on trying to quiet the most active player in the thread.
d. Preferring to banter on about mechanics and semantics rather than trying to post thoughts about alignments and to discern alignments in the thread.

www3 - the idea that you're being genuine about thinking fewer posts in a game makes it easier to have opinions is pretty ludicrous to me.

By that logic, lurkers should be the easiest to read but nobody would be silly enough to propose that, yet...

Fewer posts means that it takes less time to make your list of reads. Now c'mon, don't try twist whatever I say.

You don't have to read and digest the ENTIRE thread anytime you want to read another player. Your refusal to even give opinions on players citing some lack of ability to have read the entire thread is at best infuriating (the case we are both town -- I'm not sure you are) and otherwise leans me scum on you.

Wouldn't it be easier for me just to give a list of reads if I was scum? There are like 10 more people Who haven't given a list, and some of them haven't even said anything. Go and annoy them, you usually put pressure on inactives I thought?

Am I really wrong though? We've argued about lynch V no lynch for 30 pages, with /some/ information randomly scattered in it. For a TLDR there has been nothing of legitimate substance, aside from linkcats "softclaim" of cop

Spoiler for Don't read this if you will be offended by my opinion:

I like it. But only on these forums. On others, like mafiascum, etc, No-Lynch D1 is a terrible move due to how few people there are (9 players per game, 2 of which are scum). We can be more lenient here. N0 start vs D1 start is less demanding than it is on other forums. And I prefer No-Lynch here because the tradeoff is we get a D(-1) to input 25 pages of discussion before the game starts. Sure, if there is a completely valid lynch target then kill them. But more often than not we will be killing town. And (I am going to be becoming quite contradictory here), the thought processes that go behind more than 50% of the votes are complete filler like "This guy's name starts with m, mafia starts with m therefore they are mafia."

Another reason, also using comparison (because it's the easiest thing to do to not make my argument sound stupid), is the amount of roles. In a mafia like this, where roles have 2 abilities, Nights are not as heavily favoured towards mafia as they are in other places. More town abilities means more possibilities for town. While mafia does get an (almost) certain kill, it is not always a complete loss to town. Town can still kill, they can prepare kills, they can stop kills, they can investigate, and they can even talk and discuss.

I like D1 no-lynch because games here can cater towards it, and the tradeoff is less impacting.
