Tbh, I added that last bit about Linkcat b/c I made a comment about Sol self-voting and knew I'd get called out if I didn't acknowledge that Link self-voted, too. I don't actually care about that. The real reason I voted Sol is that I wanted to break the trend of 1-2 votes per person and between Sol and dd, I didn't want dd to get killed D1 since it's been so long since I've played with him.

That said, I also acknowledge that my vote isn't likely to start a bandwagon that decides who gets lynched. (Anymore than anyone else's, anyway.) A "just in case" reasoning, I guess. And I had to pick someone.

Now I'm leaning towards Sub, partially b/c kdz's logic seems solid, but also b/c he added to the list of people with 1-2 votes on them when rob already pointed out that this is bad for town. May switch my vote depending on if Sub responds / what he says to this:

I was going to make some stupid facetious post about how ddevan's bio being a rainsoaked songbird and his avatar being an ampharos makes him a liar, but Sub, pls.

Rain-soaked songbird is a reference to a brilliant game, Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP. I highly recommend it. Ampharos is a Pokemon I consider element-neutral as I don't feel a strong connection with water at the moment, plus it's a subtle nod to the girl I'm currently interested in.

This has nothing to do with mafia, but I wanted to address them regardless.


re: no-lynch - at one time I strongly supported no-lynch day-one in most mafias, given that the chance of lynching a mafia day-one is much lower than the chance of lynching town, because of the lack of information. As time has moved forward, I now view it case-by-case. I have no preference for either in this setup, given the amount of players and the tendencies of them.


I don't have any desire to lynch either Sol or Sub at this moment, nor do I want to add Linkcat to that tie, nor do I want to add a second vote to someone. So my vote's a throwaway.

Of course. And for point 2 - I was only using that logic for deciding between Sol and dd. It's not a rule I'm using for who is eligible for lynch and who isn't. I had to have some way to decide between them, so I picked that.

I understand the logic of how it's a town-like move. But in most scenarios, it also isn't a town-beneficial move. I think the idea of voting on a self-voter is to motivate them to actually put their vote somewhere that matters. At least, my intention wouldn't necessarily be to get them lynched but to push them to do something beneficial or something that we could get a read on.
