In regards to Link's/Sol's self-voting: I'm unsure quite why people take issue with it. Something about it not really contributing, right? I've always took (early) self-voting as a sort of townie statment saying "Hey, look at me! LOOK AT ME DAMNIT!". That's a brazenness I assume mafia tend not to do. The fact such attention and strangeness leads to you also getting voted on as well as opportunistic mafia snipes also sways my opinion on that end.

Late-game, it really does serve no purpose as we should have leads by then. Early-game, it's worth a shot, though. Kick up as much dust as possible and see where it settles.

Sometimes, self-voting is also used as a method of scum-hunting, as, when someone votes on you, you change your vote to them and say "Aha! I was just baiting you to vote on me! Did you think I'd be an easy vote, scumzor!?"
... Something that isn't that cheesy, mind. You get the gist.

So, as long as someone talks on day 0, they stay alive? that's increadibly stupid and easy for mafia to do and hide.... I haven't seen one vote which acc has any decent reason behind it (maybe kdz's?) and that's to be expected as its day 0.

The more someone talks, the more information people have on them.
The more information people have on them, the easier it is to figure out if they're scum. Mafia tend to want to live a bit more than town.
For mafia, that's lose-lose.

If someone shitposts constantly, it's a form of lurking. They're only posting to appear active when they're not actually contributing much, which in turn makes them look highly suspect.
