I was going to make some stupid facetious post about how ddevan's bio being a rainsoaked songbird and his avatar being an ampharos makes him a liar, but Sub, pls.
No Lynching is bad. Active scumreading is more important than roles, and people being lynched is how you get activity in reads.
Active reading but no roles makes a game hard to win.
Roles but no activity (which is more likely) = No votes = No win.
Or, another easy way of putting it, Killing people progresses the game how the town wants it to progress; we choose scummy-looking scrubs and bash their skulls in. Not lynching people progresses the game how the mafia want it to progress; they will be scouting around, reading, and figuring out who the most important people to kill are.
People are going to die regardless, and thanks to all votes being public, people being lynched gives more information than people being nightkilled.
And what happens if the cop dies, is a sheeple, inactive, or, worst of all, scum? We'd've just wasted a few days no-lynching and doing sweet FA (which bores people, which reduces activity) when we could've been gathering large amounts of information with a few pinpricks of info.
There, I saved you six posts, Rob. Do not expect this level of seriousness consistently from me.
