Mafia 63: Strawberry Takeover

(Rules pertaining to nightkills, voting, and cheating follow traditional mafia rules.)

The roles that are in the game will not be disclosed. In addition, you are not notified when you are targeted unless stated otherwise.

Fruit roles are given randomly, even if that role already exists. In other words, Fruit roles can be repeated and roles can be skipped entirely.

Strawberry roles are also distributed randomly, but will not be repeated. They can still be omitted.

The Strawberry:Fruit ratio is 1:4 as usual.

Voting Total ties are resolved by signup list order. The player listed lower on the signup list will be lynched. No Lynch can be voted on.

The signup list will be reposted each phase with any changes caused by roles. Dead players will not be listed on the signup list and will not be affected by signup list abilities, though their corpse still has their number for Starry Night purposes. Signup lists from the previous phases will not be updated to reflect this, for recordkeeping reasons.

Certain skills are dependent on whether or not a player was targeted. For the purposes of these skills, the nightkill does not count as having a target.

There is no activity-based modkill. Phases will be 48 hours. Players may post at night. Fruits may not discuss mafia outside of the thread. Strawberries will be allowed to have a titanpad to communicate.

Pure Strawberry True Power (1U) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Strawberry Shortcake Dessert Eagle (EoR) Shoot target player with purified strawberry essence. Through a completely unexplained scientific process, this reveals their role to you.

Strawberry Ice Cream Cold Blood (Passive) You bleed when exposed to sunlight. Your blood constantly drips onto the two players directly below you on the signup list. Non-strawberries will have their votes negated until they are no longer being dripped on.

Strawberry Soda Fizzy Drink (2U) Carbonate the punch, which completely ruins the flavor. The player targeted by Fruit Punch will be killed instead of protected.

Strawberry Jam Bad Pun (ER) Send the host a bad pun about target player. If the host finds it to be sufficiently amusing, their ability use will be jammed tonight. (Passives can’t be canceled this way.)

Note that Fruit roles can be repeated and excluded.

Mango Fruit Punch (ER) You’re not very popular as a fruit, but you become delicious in juice form. Feed juice to target player and protect them from the nightkill. You can’t target Linkcat with this ability because he has bad taste in fruit. You may target yourself.

Tomato Vegetable Trick (ER) Convince target player that you are a vegetable. Not realizing the truth, they will reveal their skill type (Passive, ER, EoR, #U) to you.

Coconut Mic Drop (EoR) Coconuts are so heavy that not even the signup list can keep them up. Switch places on the signup list with a player listed lower on the signup list. Doing so will make you immune to the nightkill for the current night.

Pineapple Ananas (ER) Your name is translated differently in most other languages. Target player’s posts cannot be in English on the following day. As a result, they cannot vote either.

Starfruit Starry Night (2U) You hate it when people steal your 5-pointed theme. Target a player. If they are fifth on the signup list or the number of posts they have in the thread at the end of the night is divisible by five, they die at the end of the night.

Grapefruit Urban Legend (Passive) Legend speaks of a grapefruit that rose to power. You gain 1 Voting Power permanently whenever a player listed lower on the signup list is lynched. You are notified each time this occurs.

Apple Teacher’s Pet (1U) Complain to the host about target player’s behavior. You can’t complain about yourself. The target’s vote is permanently negated, but only if you can find and quote a spelling or grammar mistake that he/she made in the thread and send it to the host. They will be notified. (Mistakes made in other languages are still mistakes. Quoting something that isn’t a mistake refunds this ability.)

Pomegranate Elegantly Eloquent (Passive) Your Voting Power is equal to the number of characters in your username, divided by 3 and rounded down.

Banana Euphemism (2U) Curse target player that has less than 69 posts in the thread at the end of the night. At the end of the phase where they make their 69th post, they are killed.

Pear Unique Shape (EoR) Attempt to describe the shape of any fruit in 20 or less words when using this ability. If you succeed, your Voting Power is increased by 4 for the following day. (The fruit doesn’t have to be a role in this mafia. You can’t describe a fruit using any method that annoys the host.)

Blueberries Native Faith (Passive) Your Voting Power is 5 as long as everyone has faith in your civilian mannerisms. Therefore, this ability is disabled if someone votes on you at any point, even if that person’s vote would be negated by another effect.

Watermelon Fruit Ninja (4U) Throw a watermelon at target player. If they are not a civilian, it will then fall down the signup list until it reaches a civilian. Everyone who came in contact with it receives a notification, including the original target. You may throw watermelons at yourself.

Cherry Explodonate (EoR) Kills Linkcat. This role isn’t given out if Linkcat isn’t playing.

Orange Citric Acid (Passive) Whenever you are targeted by an ability, the first living player below you on the signup list that has not yet been set on citric fire is set on citric fire. When you die, all mafia members on citric fire have their Voting Totals permanently increased by 4.

Lemon SourPls (1U) List as many subscriber-only Twitch emotes as you can and send them to the host. The following day, your Voting Power is equal to the number of Twitch emotes you sent.

Peach Disturbing Agenda (EoR) There’s a black, hard object where your heart should be. Voting Totals are revealed to you at the end of the following day. The names will be removed, however. Totals of zero are omitted from the notification.

Kiwi Clumsy Flight (ER) You seem to have confused yourself for a bird of some variety. Fly around and switch the signup list positions of two target players.

Plum Violent Violet (EoR) Target a player. You are told if their role is red/purple on the outside. Fruits that are only sometimes red/purple are considered to not be red/purple. Strawberry products are red.

Passionfruit Ava’s Flower Shop (Passive) If you click on the link in Sky’s signature, obtain an Epic card in Fippe’s card game, and then show the host a screenshot, your Voting Power increases by 4 permanently. The increase will take effect immediately.

Lychee Obscure Fruit (ER) The host had to read the Wikipedia page to figure out what these are. Target player receives the contents of a random Wikipedia page instead of any notifications the host would send them tonight. This doesn’t block the Pineapple notification. (If they weren’t going to receive any notifications, then they won’t receive any Wikipedia pages.)

Spoiler for Technicalities:

-If you disagree with the host on whether a subjective ability should have worked, too bad.
She doesn’t care. Sorry.
-Lemons can use their ability to reduce their Voting Power temporarily by sending no emotes.
You wouldn’t actually want to do that, though.
-The Pineapple notification is in French.
Use Google Translate, or just pay more attention.
-Lychee can interrupt important notifications, like that of Apple.
Relatedly, trying to vote while under the effect of Teacher’s Pet will simply cause your vote to be ignored.
