I've been contacted by Linkcat in Blab PM, who claims to have used Search on me and that I showed up as mafia.

I'm not mafia.

I have two possibilities:

1. Link is mafia, and is using either Search or Hasty Search on someone, and then telling someone he thinks won't post in the thread (like me) that he "searched" me
2. Link is civvy, and is claiming to have Searched me into luring me into admitting that I'm mafia. Which I'm not, sorry to disappoint.

As much as I'd love to quote our conversation, the rules are clearly against that. Our conversation began with Linkcat insisting that I was mafia, proceeded to me insisting against it, and finally Linkcat admitting that I had outbluffed him. We had previously discussed our roles - he knows what I am and I think I know what he is. I'm the civvy policeman.

I'm not sure whether or not to hold Linkcat in suspicion. If he's bluffing, he makes an extremely believable mafia member. But then again, I'm easily swayed.

Well, there goes that strategy. I'm scumreading Onion right now because he just prevented me from doing this to others, which had a chance of greatly benefiting town, with only a minor benefit to me if I was mafia. It doesn't even make sense for me to do this as mafia. I play more carefully than that. He also arrested Dema who wasn't acting scummy at all, so it looks even worse for him.

I encourage everyone to fake more Searches on people to create a little confusion for the mafia. With multiple people claiming to the mafia, they won't know who to Search back. And if you're the only one that does, it can make them waste a Search. You can even make pairs and pretend to be Traitor Special Forces.

Because I told him. This was prior to you saying that you were rb'ed, so that confirms me as Policeman though not as civvy - my apologies, Dema, but if you can't reveal your role then I can't say if it was worth it or a waste of everyone's time
