False robots are very likely mafia. If they're not lying then they wouldn't die. I planned to throw it on the most suspicious robot claim.

Which anyone else could also do, including the mafia. And that would only ruin whatever plan the town has, so we had to have a way of enforcing it.

Overloading is a nice way of enforcing it. I advise against going against your own plans, everyone else is also trying to make it happen.

Anyway, my point is you should base your play on the rules of the game. In a purely vanilla mafia game, lynching liars is probably a good idea. In a game like this with extremely complex rules, lying could be extremely powerful for a civilian with the right role.

Paranoiac is a prime example of this, in my opinion. If done right, you could eliminate a mafia member as a civilian. I'm not sure how you could set up such a lie while also avoiding suspicion as Paranoiac and keeping civilians from targeting you, but I'd like to think it's possible.

You honestly have no way to prove this, as we have no way to prove you were civilian.

I do believe we should take any claims made for prefia as a pinch of salt. We could have been lying, we could have been telling the truth, and using this as an argument in this mafia is stupid to trust, whether it is true or not. We are not trying to find the mafia of last game, we are trying to find the mafia of this game, hence we shouldn't try to make comparisons to the last game.

Let's put it this way: You are not the only one playing this mafia. What would be the logical play for an Electrical engineer if someone is doing a very suspicious robot claim?
A) Overload them to see if they are lying
B) Sit down and do nothing

Note that we have two roles that do this. Maybe doing false robot claims is the one that is supposed to be not done instead, based on the rules of the game?

I woke up and there weren't a billion posts. I don't know whether to feel relieved or disappointed. Oh well, on to business.

Just highlighting this, as the only piece of rational planning since the restart. It's important early game for our investigative roles. Finding eachother is more important for us than for Mafia, because our lynches can kill civvies, whereas if Mafia screw up their Nightkill because they haven't found eachother yet, it just doesn't work. Of course, it's a strong ability, just not in early game.

We have a very extreme version of breadcrumbing called breadposting, where we post entire loaves of bread. Maybe we should try to get the discussion running without actually posting bread, but it is always useful as a last resort.
