These are semi-contradictory statements, no? Either we can trust Linkcat as civ and use Scientist to confirm w3, or we can't trust Link and him "confirming" w3 won't mean anything to us.

I'm leaning toward trusting Link b/c why would mafia use that info to get rob lynched? Theoretically, it'd gain civvy trust and could be advantageous, but it'd be a very risky play. As long as we treat him as 99% confirmed and not 100% (meaning we still look for ways to get him fully confirmed before we hand the game to him), we should be okay. So I agree w/ Dema's second statement - Link can now use the info he has, in coordination w/ the Scientist, to start determining roles (hopefully the other TSF).

Rob, I'm really sorry that this happened. I know that you were looking forward to playing a full game in your new style, and I believe you would have done really well as mafia this game. It just happened to be the same game I was town with nothing to lose.

That said, let's get down to business. I need not only the roles and targets of every player, which I already had the majority of anyway, but also any PM conversation you may have had with another player. The more information I have, the better.

For those of you who doubt me, know that I love playing with rob and I would never ever give up a chance to be on a mafia team with him.

Well they aren't truly contradictory because, like you said, we can give him the benefit of the doubt. Unless we can logically conclude someone isn't mafia or the host says it, we can't truly know.

Which is fine. I was just pointing out that we can't fully distrust Link and simultaneously trust whoever he clears (or doesn't).

Also seeing as Link is using me as one of the scientist's targets, I fully expect to die this night. Obviously mafia won't target Link because he would be saved by the nurse.

I would recommend not using things like arrest so that Link's plans go over well. If there is more than one scientist, Link can use them to clear more than one person each night.

I think it's because of what Submachine pointed out. W3 was very quick to vote on Rob but said we shouldn't bandwagon right away. If I were mafia and one of my mafia members was outed, I would vote on them right away.

It's not much to go on, but unless Link has any better suspects, it's something.

Fair enough. Also, I would like to recommend having the officer and the scientist not overlap targets to cover more players. Also, just noting that dawn being read town without posting much is suspicious, I would recommend having him investigated as a possible Tactical Surface Fighter.

I was kinda surprised that I was a town read, however it would be quite strange for rob to put me as town with such weak reasoning. It would be far too obvious for this to mean anything though.
