I've felt for a long time that the problem isn't inactive people, but instead a very similar, perhaps married idea I call "sheepleism" - Sheeples mindlessly following the opinions of other people, contributing nothing other than additional votes for popular people.

Something I learned about this from the recent Mafia Championship: when Linkcat put his first vote on the most voted player on Day 1, other players quickly pointed out that jumping on a bandwagon like that is extremely wolfish(they used the term "wolf" instead of "mafia") and Link should immediately explain himself. In the professional players' eyes, 75% of our Elements playerbase would be considered mafia simply by bandwagoning without giving proper explanation. It amazed me how blind we were about this in the past.
