I agree with kdz. The only thing that makes it harder for civvies to win than the ruleset is civvies who refuse to participate/help. Just do your best within the given rules. Another game will be up before long.

Well, complaining about the way that Coffee set this game up isn't going to make it more fun for anyone. Either play and respect the work that the host has put into the game, or don't and get modkilled. Its a simple choice

Oh I definitly respect the work she's put into creating the game, I created one with DM's help. It wasn't easy and I would've loved playing the mafia game she set up with all the roles. Beck the cabbies are put at a major disadvantage with the cop being every 3 rounds. But she negates this by offering civvies multiple strategies as long as they talk. Basically my solution to this dilemma is to randomize the roles again and restart this mafia or postpone it if people are worried about the time frame for mafias. You could say a "dodge" happened. As for my next point, although I really don't care about it, is master of mafia points. With these roles being given out plus the setup is almost a free win for mafia and thereby collecting master of mafia points. Sorry, but if I was at close to the top of the list and someone passed me due to them not having to display much critical thinking in a game that requires it I'd be pissed. You could say well you're at thr bottom so story but if someone with the same mindset as me was up there or got up there then you can't change how you'd react to the same situation based on peoples emotions at the top of the list.

4/19 are mafia. That's 20%. The mafia have to kill 11 people in order to win the game, and if one of them is killed, that number goes up by 2. Now that I've laid out the chances, it's not that impossible. It's not "free points for mafia" or anything like that. Now, unless someone really has an issue with the rules, we will shut up, wait for patch phase to be carried out, and then use our logic, wits, etc. whatever you call them to win.

I really didn't plan to say much until this whole game-related but completely irrelevant meta-setup shit more or less blew over, but this pretty much sums up my thoughts on the matter.  Play the game or don't, it's your choice, but you signed up and therefore committed to playing the game.  Where I come from, dropping out can lead to some pretty serious action taken against you.  Don't know if that applies here, but in general, signing up = committing to play.

In conclusion:  Let's just play the game. 
....That said....I've never played a game where it was legal to talk during night so I'm not really sure how to react to this situation.  Hell I'm not even sure how games in this community normally play out in the beginning in the first place....But my undying love for mafia and familiarity with league led me to signing up, and I will play it out to the best of my ability (I hope all of you will do the same with minimal protest), but forgive me if I'm quiet for the first bit of the game, I'm just feeling everything out here.  I'll become more vocal as the game goes on.

Does it really suck sooooooooooo much that we can't play follow the leader? That game is silly and is why some people have stopped trying; since we can just not try and still win. This way, we need skill. Skill that we have but probably won't use. Something something inspirational talk something let's do this!

I hope people have been using their ER abilities this patching phase, because that is how we get one up on the mafia when it starts at night. Sure, they get a kill, but we get to hopefully have some effects in place by the time we have to make a lynch.

Ok, since the role reveal, I could check the overall setup for the first time now.

It turns out that the lack of investigative roles are compensated by the huge benefit of a mass roleclaim to Zilean. Zilean is confirmed blue, so only a stubborn player wouldn't claim to him. Once somebody claimed that he is Zilean, and nobody counterclaims him, then all of you should have 0 reason to distrust him. If you are Zilean and somebody else claims to be him, then QUICKLY counterclaim him.

Zilean could also do a trick of putting only his own name on his lift, if that's allowed. That way he would get a foolproof 1 night protection.

After everyone sent their roles to Zilean, lynch Katarina and Veigar. Also keep terrorizing those who don't roleclaim to Zilean, because their stubbornness most likely means that they are mafia.

After there are only 2 mafias left, Maokai and Tryndamere should be able to handle the rest if they are blue. Just give them huge power so mafia has to target them for patchkill. But always be aware that they can be mafia too!
