Because I didn't get clarification last time, I'm going to ask it again:

Villainilla – You are some other villain not listed below.  You have a name known only to you, and your only powers are your voice and your vote.  If you are wise, you can use those powers to help keep the congregated villains safe from the heroes!

Does the mafia know of all unused names? Whilst it may sound obvious, given how this was used to break the last mafia you hosted, I'd like to know. (Not saying they shouldn't. I think they should.)

I will neither confirm nor deny whether the mafia knows of any/all unused names.  Based on my previous mafia, you may assume it is a possibility but not guaranteed.

Sure. Question is, who can be the given player?

I've glanced through the roles and it seems there's no 100% way to confirm someone as civilian, unless we have Opal confirm someone. Of course, there's also the risk that the mafia would be pretending to be Opal, which could be resolved only if either Opal dies (bad) or Opal roleclaims with no counterclaim (also bad.)

And if we give all the roles to mafia by accident, we almost certainly lose.

Now, we could RNG a name and use that, which would have a 80% chance to give us a small advantage and a 20% chance to ruin us. I'd rather pass on that.

What about sending roles to 2 different RNG'd names? Have everyone flip a coin for sending to player A and player B.
This way no one player gains all the names/roles.

Downside, this will spread out the names, and give mafia a better chance to roleclaim.
Upside, it could also be a better way to split up the mafia gaining everyones roles by spreading out the roles as there is a low chance that we will rng 2 mafia.

I agree with this. Could be a good way to make sure that one person doesn't completely have power over everything from knowing the roles of everyone.
