What is your opinion on having two Mafia games being hosted simultaneously (or concurrently)?

Awesome idea! Double the games equals double the fun!
Yes, but I'd rather prefer a mafia to simply be started earlier (i.e. - when X people die in the previous mafia, the new one starts), so that at least the dead people can get their mafia fix.
Maybe, but under the condition that players cannot join both of them at the same time to avoid disputes/exploits/misplays.
I would rather decrease mafia game times (day cycles, sign-up period, etc.) in order for everyone to host their game faster.
No, it'd be easier if people co-host their games in order to get their theme out of the way.
Terrible plan. The current/traditional system as of now is working as expected.
It doesn't really matter to me. Perhaps it should be on a host-by-host basis?

If the majority of the mafia playgroup enjoys playing two mafias at once? Sure, why not. Hosts waiting a year is getting old as a joke.

My suggestion: The next mafia will start once 50% (rounded up) of the players in the current mafia are dead, and the previous mafia, if still going on, is guaranteed to end before signups do. This is not up to the host.

50% doesn't work as smooth though when there are around 30 people signed up. In the current mafia, things became fast only after 66% of the players died. Instead percentages, we should work with the number of alive players, the "current-at-the-time" "mafia-to-alive_players" ratio and the available roles that can kill players faster (e.g: Hitman, Shadow Wolf, Virus, etc).

I'd suggest that the next thread is posted for host to post rules once 12 players are still alive. With one player dying every 24 hours if things are sped up, that leave about 6 days till mafia ends and then next one begins. If people are dying every 48 hours, that's 12 days but last 6 days will have only 9 players, at which point it's usually simple enough to get scumtells. e.g. Sub's mafia where last mafia have been obvious for quite some time.
When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground.

By the time signups end, 60% of the players will be dead. Assuming 30 players, there will be 12 alive when the next mafia actually starts. Beginning signups at 66%, there will only be 7 alive. I don't think it's necessary to wait that long. Starting at 50% will almost double our current speed.

Based on current feedback, I'll go ahead and go with Option 2 for the next couple of mafias (52 and 53), and see how that plays out. The poll and topic will remain open until after those games end to see how this affected mafia playability (sp?). :)
