I liked what qwerter did in his mafia of the mafioso having to find eachother, but it felt like when he changed the rule mid way that mafia can find eachother by targeting the same person it just negated the whole strategic factor

There was the suggestion though that 2 of the mafia know eachother at the start, which I think would keep all the strategic factors in balance and make this once again a really cool looking mafia :p

Addicts are stacking bad odds against each other. Not only they have a relatively bad win condition, but they also must take every pill that can potentially kill them.
To solve this here is my suggestion:

Rename the third party. Their primary goal would still be survival, but they shouldn't be scripted to be addicts.
Make addicts a tertiary role that is randomly distributed among the players.

Fair enough, changes included are:
-2 Criminals are buddy-buddy at the start
-"Addicts" are renamed "Refugees", whose sole purpose is to simply survive until they can move away (i.e. - the game ends). Addicts is a 'ternary' role that will be assigned randomly to 1 out of 5 players.

From what I remember, qwerter sticked to his rules from the beginning. The part where mafia could find each other via targeting was there the whole time.
