If someone argues about the difficulty of a task and the only reasonable explanation/response you can give is the solution to said task, the quality of task itself is questionable. I respect the concept you've gone for so far with this mafia but it feels like your expectations and the actual quality of the mafia you've made are two very different things.

Zblader has a point. This is how I used to play mafia IRL, but a little different: one cop, one doctor and one mafia, rest vanilla civvies.

No cop hurts civvies and helps mafia quite a lot.

This setup is better IRL because you can see people’s face expression or behavior patterns, where online that’s impossible.

On other online sites like mafiascum, people use voting patterns and the discussion of who voted when and who and why that's likely to be.

The problem is that we haven't really had much of people trying to figure out the mafia for themselves but instead relying on the claims and ddevans to figure it out.

So based on what Elk and Frozen said, this is basically less a Mafia game and more a PvP puzzle game at this point. As I said before, we need something to kick off a conversation, even if it's just figuring out how to team up.

Come on, I need more than that. If this was a poker game and you were trying to figure out who has the best hand, what would you look for?

One of the best ways for mafia to win especially on a site that behaves like this one is to try to go unnoticed.

Skyironsword gave the most nondescript answers to RQS, so I might be inclined to suspect her.

On the other hand, her answers were so nondescript as to be memorable, so we might want to look at those that had normal wordcount but relatively little to say.

For starters, I don't gamble.

But if I were playing poker, I would

• observe facial and other reactions
• observe betting and bluffing tendencies
• count the cards

While it is true that all we have here are the 'oral' reactions and the votes, but those seem to be unreliable.

Actually, based on posts, we could propose that you are one of the mafia, working on riots to make civvies kill each other...

Fair argument, but someone has to take initiative in a game that has A) no cop and B) no information gathering roles in general. Besides, if I was trying to start a riot, why would I go about explaining my claims with concise logic?

I'd say that was a pretty okay gamble to take for sky as mafia - most people know dd's Master of Mafia, and having him as confirmed was the most likely result, and it buys sky free townpoints just for suggesting it (as evidenced by your post).  Not to say that it makes sky more likely to be mafia - but rather to say that anyone who volunteered to be confirmed after the wagon was already started on dd shouldn't get any special town-credit for it.
