Due to the nature of this game, some rules have been edited.
Spoiler for General Rules:
1. No posting during Twilight whatsoever. Everyone gets '~1' warning per Twilight if they mess this up.
2. Do not post, chat, OR PM ANY revealing information if you have been killed/removed from mafia (except for minor 'BLARGH'/murloc TM death noises). This also means that if you withdraw from mafia, you cannot reveal any information after withdrawing from the game. 1 final post is allowed after announcement of your death, as long as it does not reveal any information.
3. All Secondary roles/targeting/actions are to be messaged during the DAY phase.
4. No player may do the 'No-Vote'/AFK for two consecutive days without a viable reason. Holidays, funerals, etc count as
viable reasons. Mafia on other sites, just forgetting, etc, do not. If you wish to withdraw, post in this thread; but do NOT reveal any secret information. Players without viable reasons will be modkilled. Breaking this rule repeatedly may result in a ban from future mafias.
5. Post in the topic if you want to sign up. No need for any 'role' choosing or whatnot, everything is randomized and assigned.
6. Do not quote PMs. Ever. Furthermore no one is permitted to declare themselves to be a scum, either publicly or through PMs.
7. You are allowed to talk in chat about mafia, but please remember general chat rules.
8. You are not allowed to edit AND/OR remove your post. Instead, EBWOP will take effect. This means, to edit your post, post again with the correct fixes. Any posts breaking this rule will result in the post being deleted on sight.
9. Any flaming/trolling/cursing will not be tolerated. Appropriate actions will be taken if any of this occurs.*
10. The mod/host has the final say in any dispute. Do not argue with the mod/host. Do not impersonate the mod/host.
11. Breaking rules 2, 6, 9 or 10 may result in ban from future mafias or forum games in general.**
12. When PM-ing the Host for anything associated with Mafia, please include "Mafia" in the subject line. Otherwise, your PM may be ignored or overlooked.
13. If there is a tie after all vote modifications, someone will be lynched at random.

Spoiler for How to play Elements Mafia:
Mafia is generally played between two teams: Civilians and Mafia. The civilians are the main group, and they enjoy the minor advantage of being a majority. Every day, the civilians post in the thread to discuss who is likely to be mafia, and place a vote on who they think is being scummy (a.k.a. mafia-like or anti-civilian). One thing to note is that your Voting Total signifies the total of votes placed on you, and Voting Power stands for how many votes you actually place on someone when you vote on them (everyone has a standard Voting Power of 1). At the end of the day the host tallies up all the votes and considers all skills affecting the voting; the person with the most votes on them is killed (termed as lynching), and all their info is revealed. Then Night falls, and NO ONE posts in the thread.
That’s when the mafia come in. The Mafia are a minority of players who know each other’s identity. Their job is to eliminate all the other players using deception and nightkills. They interact with the town during the day, trying to mislead them away from lynching any mafia members. And when night falls, Mafia discusses in secret and chooses a person to kill (termed as nightkill). Also during the night the civilians use their skills. Some of the noteworthy skills include the cop/seer, who investigate other players to find their allegiance, and the doctor (usually called Archangel here) who can protect a specific player from any nightkills for that night.
Does the stupid game ever end, you ask? Well contrary to popular belief, it does. The Civilians win when whenever they manage to lynch all the Mafia members. And Mafia wins when their combined Voting Power is enough to control the vote entirely, i.e. if all Mafia members vote on the same Civilian and all Civilians vote on a Mafia member, the civilian will be lynched.

My name is Espithel. You probably know me from such things like that person who went back in time to save her mate only to create me, the huge lack of tyrannical beings stomping over all of your territory, and that one annoying pest everyone worships and hates at the same time.
To such an omnipotent being like me, I've never really felt such trivial concepts such as difficulty, or pain, or moral boundaries. And I certainly don't understand moral-bound beings like you; if you don't want to be eaten, why are you filled to the brim with tasty, succulent flesh!? You were practically MADE to be toyed with, really!
...Well, I tell a lie. 'Spose that's fine, to tell porky pies. Hmm, pie. I do remember one time I did struggle a bit. That one time I... felt challenge. Maybe the first time. Perhaps the first time I truly learnt something. The fun of challenge. It's changed the way I see the world. Why do something, when you can test yourself to do it with as little power as possible? Who cares? Story time.

Can someone name a better way to get sidetracked please? Anyway, a great many beings, about 15 to 20, running away from my "master's" domain. Yes, yes, I remember everything... The ruined, archaic buildings, the scent of olives and sweat, the uncivilised carnivorous bear lizards... I remember it all.
They were running because of some unimportant distaster that they'd probably refer to as some kind of apocalypse or whatever untrue malaarky they want to believe. And the most fun playthings to tease are the angry ones - those are so easy to break. Ever snapped a strong mind? So... Tasty. But, whatever. I had to deal with these vermin. Might as well have some fun with them before inevitably deleting them from the workspace.
After that, I remember crafting a game. Ah yes, a game of... It was something called mafia, I believe. Some game where people dressed up in fancy costumes and pretended to not know each other whilst they killed each other in some ritualised combat involving democratic genocide and backroom dealings. Entertaining. Never do it with hemanors, though. Ever seen a hemanor? If you're not me, they're virtually indestructible. I guess you could wait a year for them to shed thier scales and attack thier maggoty insides, but that's what people do with pandas and that never works, does it?
So, booming voice time. I love the booming voice time. It feeds my non-existent ego and makes my little Fiddlie-Pais believe I have one. Sillie Fiddlie-Pais. It went something like this:

I coughed, recollected my non-existent breath, and continued.

"Yeah, we're just going to play some mafia now. Whoever lives gets to run free. I'll play by some arbitrary rules. Just scroll up and you'll see them."
Now, one of the flaws about mafia is its stupidity. All these people knew each other. How was I going to change that? Doesn't that debunk the entire point of adding in some threxes to copycat them? ... Yeah. It does. Oh well.
So first things first, I made a giant dome. Because I don't want these sissies escaping. No. That means I have to pick them up and put them back in the arena again. That'd be mean. In fact, one person tried to escape from the dome whilst it was being made. That person turned into a silly vegetable and shot high up into the air. Some people were smiling, accusing him of being a scumbag, too. Wow, people really do hate each other to the point of forgetting they're being trapped by a pseudo-egotisical santa-god. Silly beings.
After that, reconstructed the buildings so we had a functional town. Because I don't want some 2 girls 1 cup scenario going on. I made all the irrelevant characters machines, so they could still go to the tavern and drown thier - actually, no sorrow drowning. Go to the tavern and drown thier sorrow in buring sulfurs. There we go. Pain? More like... Er... Painal.

Shut up. Painal is good.
But yeah, I made a town. Then I transfered the sentience of all people into walking bodies of corruption - human like, but clearly disfigured. Gave them all funny voices, too. Then I made a few threxes - little artificial blighters, designed to be me when there's not enough of me to go around. I mean, why don't I just corrupt time and space so there is enough of me to go around? ... Because that'd be boring.
So, with these threxes and victims ready to slap each other... There was something missing. Like, spice. What could spice this game up and make the game less predictable? I mean, I want to win, but I want to at least give them a chance... Let thier own insignificane boil a bit before I nomnomulate them.
Corruption changes things. There was going to be a lot of corruption... Maybe I'd give some people the ability to delay my beautiful poison. And by delay, I mean "Nicely beg me to stop to which I might comply." But then, I'd be submissive if they banded together! And that'd be boring! I'm a top kinda guy, you know!? So I gave this ability to a few of my threxes. And my abomination was complete! And it was pretty. Aww, I wanted to pick it up and stroke it and lick it and pet and it... It was so adorrrrrrrrable!
So, how would this thing evolve, I asked. Half of me wanted to speed up time to find out. >:/
But, that's a story for another day... Perhaps. Why don't I just speed up time to that day?
I dunno... Because.
Ruleset:
Mafia 46 is almost entirely mountainous - there is one one power role in the game.
Mafia 46 takes place during a battle between the
Victims(Town), poor, enslaved people, suffering from Espithel's tyranny, and the
Threxes(Mafia), Espithel's loyal servants.
- Roles:
Victims:
4/5ths of the total signups will be Victims (Including Purifiers). The Victims are the town of the game, and must lynch the Threxes to attain victory and freedom.
Threxes:
1/5th of the total signups will be Threxes, including Purifiers. The goal of the Threxes is to serve thier creator and dominate the Victims in typical Mafia Fashion; they are the mafia of this game.
Every Day, the Threxes may appease one person to Espithel. This is done by PMing the game mod with your choice. You may change your mind later - simply send another PM.
Purifiers:
People trained in the art of purifying corruption, Purifiers have a role:
Purify (Every Day): If the target would be appeased to Espithel, prevent that appeasement if the target is a non-Purifier Victim.
1/5th of the total signups will be Purifiers, and at least 1 Purifier will be a Threx.
If a Purifier is appeased, the alignment of the Purifier (Threx or Victim) Will not be told. This is to make the Threx Purifier more threatening. And the point of the Threx Purifier is to stop all the Victim Purifiers banding together - that would be insta-win, pretty much.
The total amount of each role will be told at the start of the game.
In a 20 player game, there will be:
4 Threxes, 1 of which is a Purifier,
5 Purifiers,
And 12 Victims.
Due to the lack of a developed night game, Instant Night will take effect; Threxes and Purifiers are to PM Espithel during the day phase with thier targets. At the end of the day, Espithel will calculate who is to be appeased, and the next day will start instantly afterwards. Whilst he is doing this, he will declare the game to be in twilight. Do not post during twilight.Also, to make the first day more interesting, if a non-Purifier Victim is lynched (Threx Kill is excluded) on the first day, that Victim will be confirmed as a Victim as opposed to being appeased.The game will update on a Saturday, Tuesday, and Thursday, at approximately 6 PM GMT (1 PM EST). If I am late, feel free to post. Twilight will take effect only once I say it does, but I will not wait for people to finish talking.
You have until Tuesday, 24th of Febuary, 6 PM GMT to sign up. I would use countdowns, but I'm lazy and don't want to dabble in it.
